Good front office and support staff. Arrogant and horrible PCP who shall remain nameless. Here is the sequence of events - After I go for an initial visit with the PCP, they set up a follow up test date. I call in later to check whether I should get a Calcium Score Test. PCP immediately said No. I inquired on how we arrive at that decision without evaluating the results." Can we discuss this once my tests are done and results are out?" Their response : "Come visit me in my office." I set up an appointment. On the day of the visit - PCP comes storming into the room visibly angry. Please note that my test results are not out yet. They say "Here are the reasons you need to get a Calcium Score Test... etc..etc.. .. .. However, since you are asking for it, I will recommend it." She stands up and gets ready to leave without giving me a chance to reply or ask questions or even saying a courtesy bye. She is half way out in a flash, and I ask "Dr. I wanted to ask..." .. They, visibly irritated, sighing heavily, arms on hips, head thrown back "What now?" I feel like I am in a Principal's office.. I say " Since I am overweight", and they cut me off and say "So, what are you doing about it?" ... Now, I am really upset with their attitude. I keep my cool and say I am eating healthy, working out more and additionally, I wanted to confirm with the calcium score hence requested for it. They storm out of the room without saying anything. And, it took me a couple of minutes to regroup, collect my cool and get myself out of the room. I see their assistant and inquire "What is the process to change the PCP?" . The assistant gives me a compassionate smile and proceeds to give me the details. Unfortunately, there is no availability in Sammamish or Issaquah. I guess I will go to the Redmond Center. I thought Drs were supposed to be empathetic with their patients. This person was arrogance personified, physically demonstrating it and behaving with no manners at all. Just because they are my PCP do not mean that they get to mistreat me. Really horrible. I am not saying at all that they respond positively to all my inputs but at least we can talk through it like adults before dismissing it. After all, it is my health.
Beyond disappointed. It takes months to get an appointment to see a doctor. I have zero relationship with my PCP because you can never get an appointment with them. I have a wicked ear ache so telemed is not a choice, so first available is 6 weeks out. Staff just refers you to go to urgent care. Why do I have a PCP if my only solution is to go to some urgent care? Ridiculous. 2 months ago I called with acute pain, for 2 days I called and told the "on call assistant" that I am not getting better, can I get in and see the doctor. I was told NO, we are booked up. I was charged for an urgent "phone call" which was beyond annoying, becasue they did nothing other than tell me its probably the flu. I told them it wasnt, so I took myself to swedish hospital, had a burst appendix. Our healthcare industry sucks.
TLDR: Don't make appointment here. They will rip you off. Booked an annual well check at this officesame doctor as last year, just different office. Yes, i have insurance. Still got 2 bills for lab tests ordered by annual well check. I paid for both since i don't want to bother calling office to validate and yet, got another bill for the office visit. I realize I shouldn't have paid the lab tests to begin with, but it just made me so mad that they are charging another bill for annual check office visit, which is included in my insurance. I've done same annual check last year at another office, cost me $0, but from here, 3 bills???!! First, i contacted billing through the portal, it said "last read by staff on sep14th", now it's Sep 29th. No response at all even though it says expect response within 3 days. Really disappointing and bad experience!! This place is horrible! Can anyone/organization help patients on this or we can only get ripped??? I saw in previous reviews, people were getting charged for annual check at this office too. Where is justice?? This is not right. Really really mad. You need to give my money back, period! °° UPDATE: After i paid my billsdon't want to bother talking to them at all, the billing representative responded to my questions. Turns out, they charged an extra visit apart from the well check for the ONE and only visit. HAHA.SO BRILLIANT $$$! At this practice, you are not supposed to talk about any concerns you might have during your well check, otherwise it's an extra visit. What's the point of getting a well check if you are 100% confident that you are 100% healthy? Aren't we supposed to discuss any concerns for preventive purpose?? Suggestion: Make sure you have 100% confidence for 100% healthy before you go for your well check here.
We had 2 back to back appointments at 2.55pm and 3.05pm to get covid boosters for my 2 kids. Our pediatrician at Swedish in Redmond sent us out here 30 minutes away for covid clinic. At 3.30pm, we still had not been called back and I had to get my kid to another appointment at 4pm, so we had to reschedule which still hasn't happened yet. That's over an hour of my day wasted with nothing to show for it. I highly recommend going elsewhere for covid shots, even if it means driving an hour out of town to find an appointment.
I've been seeing Dr. Deramo for quite some time now, maybe 3-4 years. I find him very pleasant to work with, easy to communicate with, patient and very knowledgeable. I'm glad chose him for my Primary Care Physician. He and his staff go the extra mile to meet my needs. The entire staff at Swedish Pine Lake are great and easy to work with, including the group that does the lab work. They all have the patient's best interest in mind and are very pleasant. I appreciate them very much. Sue B
Dr. Li Wang called my home late evening to state she was reviewing my test results that had come in that day, and that she highly recommended that I see my specialist to get a biopsy. The biopsy was positive for cancer, and shortly after, I started treatment. Her emphasis helped detect the cancer before it had a chance to metastasize. Dr Wang has carefully listened to my symptoms when I see her, and seems to pinpoint the problem, and appropriate action. That is why I go to her. That she seems truly interested in my well-being, and is friendly are pluses, but her knowledge and perception would be enough to give her an outstanding recommendation. The front desk crew has always seemed professional and efficient. The nurses, likewise, as well as competently explaining whatever procedure they need to do. I am sure you could find a better place to meet and make life-long friends, but this seems a place to get help for a long life.
I would avoid this office for many reasons. To name a few: 1 They got my chart notes mixed with another patient and were giving me a hard time when I brought it to their attention. 2 I went in to test for TB as an interview requirement. During my follow-up appointment the provider measured the minimal reaction on my arm, and told me the result of my test was negative and provided me a document stating so. Several days later, Dr. Deramo had his administrator call me to demand I go in due to a positive TB test result. I was panicked and confused. After several phone calls, and days later, they called me back saying Dr. Deramo made a mistake but he would still like to see me. I said I have no reason to see him for a negative test result, or ever again. 3 Another time Dr. Deramo inputed notes in my chart that he said were provided to him when I transferred care to their office. As the patient, I told him they were incorrect because I've never had such symptoms, but he refused to correct my chart notes or listen to me. I requested to see the document that was supposedly transferred, but they didn't have a record of it. The only thing they had and were going off of was a note made by Dr. Deramo himself. Given that he has made several administrative errors while under his care, I don't trust him as a medical provider or respect the way he practices medicine. 4 Lets say you need a prescription refill and you also have a sinus infection that you'd like checked out. This group of providers will require you to come in twice in order to address both needs. For the longest time I did not understand the MD's unwillingness to speak about more than one concern, or extend an appointment by a few minutes to save me a trip. One day, one of the medical assistants shared with me that the reason why they do this is because they want to charge insurance and patients twice! She said the more the patients come in, the more money everyone makes. She told me she would never bring her kids to this office for many reasons and this was one of them.
I went in for an annual physical exam and it was my first visit at this primary care office. I was seen by ARNP Wenjia Song and she was amazing! So friendly and she really seemed to care and listen to my concerns and gave me lots of helpful information. I also had blood work done here, and they have an in-house lab that they use. I was in there for maybe 2 minutes and done! I also love that they provide your blood results online, mine were available within a day of my visit. Short wait times and a good experience overall.
I scheduled an appointment for 8/7/20 and on that the Wednesday 8/5/20 I received a voicemail asking if they could move my appointment for that Thursday. The person called me Bhuvaneswari R. made no mention that they were canceling my appointment. So Friday comes and I’m waiting for my zoom call for 20 minutes and I call her office and the person that answers I believe the same person that left me the message tries to tell me the left multiple messages that they canceled my appointment even though it was still listed when I logged into MyChart. And miraculously the appointment disappeared after I hung up on her. Extremely disappointed at how unprofessional this office has handled this. I will not be making another appointment and I advise others to steer clear of this place.
I used to visit this clinic for a long time, but I had worst experience with MD. Kidambi recently through my life. She always didn't pay attention to her patient and totally gave me wrong directions. Finally I had to visit ER, and got serious surgery operations twice. I do not recommend her.
