Like many others have stated I too encounted the "canceled" class last minute. Initially, I had 1 class rescheduled from Mid-Jan to Mid-April. Then a class for my daughter and I got canceled just 2 days before without a rescheduled class. Attempted numerous emails with no response and when I attempted to call the phone was no longer active. I eventually heard back after I emailed a group and informed the owner I had filed a complaint with the BBB and the FTC. Thankfully, my Credit Card has reimbursed the charges. The owner has continued to take money for classes when she does not have a current location. Police report was also filed by several people. Stay away!
Well, this is a disappointment. I emailed them about a group coming three weeks ago. Classes got cancelled with no refund. She’s changing business locations. As a Business owner, you would have known that three weeks ago when I inquired about group classes. The classes that got cancelled are still on her website and she’s still taking money! When looking at reviews you can see this is her “business model”, take money online for classes and then cancel the class. When I emailed and asked for a refund, I got no email back. Someone in my group called and couldn’t get through since the voicemail was full.
I would give negative stars if I could. I signed up and paid for a baking class for me and my daughter. I thought, what a great way to spend time with my teenager. Well, showed up to the address listed on the confirmation email to find out the bakery moved. Knowing we are now going to be late, called the bakery and received the 'the number you have dialed is no longer in service' message. Drove to the second address I was able to locate, 23 mins away. And they were closed. Hand written sign on the door saying something about sweet treats coming so don't remember the exact words. Emailed the owner asking for a refund. No response. Followed up 2 days late still no response. Complaint has been submitted to the BBB. I'm out $96.
If I could give negative stars I would. We scheduled and pre-paid our money for a February cookie-decorating class in January at the now closed Stetson Hills location. Our class was cancelled by the vendor at the last minute and she refused refund. Looking closer, the owner knew she was changing business locations and was still taking money for classes that she wasn’t going to actually have a location to provide them at. Even after cancelling the class and refusing our refunds, it was still available on her website and she was still taking money! When looking at reviews you can see this pattern of taking money online for classes, canceling at the last minute, and then refusing refunds. When we emailed and asked for refund, many of us got no email response and calling was unsuccessful as no one answered and the voicemail was full. Don’t even know why this particular location shows as “open” and active as it is my understanding it has been closed for 3 years
Took our money, place is closed, no phone number. Don’t be fooled by the location downtown there is a pizza place and an ice cream shop…. This company does NOT exist Don’t spend your money with them… total spam/fake company. I also reported them on Facebook/Meta as they are running ads while closed
We signed up for the green chili class and 4 days later got an email that they were closing their store and reopening in the future in a new location. I asked for a refund as we chose that date specifically! They say no refunds! They cancel class on us and I can’t get a refund. They do not even have a building to have a class in ! I signed up for the class 4 days before the class so they knew it was going to be a no go but were happy to take my money. This is fraud!
Horrible business! Horrible owner! If you can, avoid this place completely. Deidre Peak is the owner, so if you see this name, avoid any business dealings with her. She had a location at Stetson Hills, where she made bakery items, held cooking classes, as well as a full consignment area set up for vendors. She recently decided to change storefronts, without notifying anyone, and took everything with her, including the vendor merchandise. She continued to sell tickets for cooking classes, to be held during the time of he store was closed! In other words, she stole her vendors’ items, and committed fraud by selling tickets to phantom classes. Se also wrote bad checks to her teenage employees! She refused to answer any phone calls, texts or emails. She has had charges filed against her so beware!
Drove to a class tonight to find the building was emptied out. Come to find out they decided to move in and not notify anyone. Come to find out they put a post on Facebook saying they moved and are cancelling classes. I don’t go on Facebook almost at all so I had no clue. They haven’t refunded my money for a class they completely canceled. Don’t waste your money. This company is complete fraud.
Took the cupcake decorating class today. They were unprepared, unorganized, and failed to do any real group instruction at all. Half the class closest to the instructor had started before the other half even got any supplies and when we asked for them we were told to just go get them ourselves. It was basically paying for somebody to give us mediocre cupcakes and some decorating supplies to play with and figure out ourselves. Had fun with friends because we just ran with the chaos, but wouldn’t pay for it in the future or recommend to anyone looking to gain any skills. *perhaps this was all a fluke because the original instructor called in sick very last minute..
Bought tickets for a cooking class and showed up to an empty building. No cancellation and a month later still no communication or refund. She claims business is relocating but still hasn't reopened and continues to sell cooking classes for a closed business, sometimes having 2-3 classes scheduled a day.
