Our whole family loves this place! Used to be Sweet Daddy’s and now has become Toasted Mallow. The cupcakes are big and delicious — frosting is beautiful and so tasty! I love the shakes, especially the birthday cake shake… ice cream swirled with that yummy frosting, topped with marshmallow fluff and a toasted marshmallow… you need to have a real sweet tooth, it is so decadent and so sweet. I’ve also ordered custom cupcakes from here for a few parties that I coordinated for my office — they are always a huge hit!
The cupcakes were ready for pick on time and the staff were friendly. The cupcakes were quite tasty and I would recommend. I would suggest they take down the old company sign and website as they are no longer Sugar Daddies, they are Toasted Mallow, it sketchied the whole experience.
I ordered a small celebratory cake for a friend of mine and it came out fantastic! I sent a couple of photo references, had a brief phone consult, and they made exactly what I was asking for. The employers were extremely friendly and communicative. I will absolutely be ordering from here again.

Not a fan. I thought I was walking into Big Daddy Cupcake shop, I mean, that’s what the huge marquee stated… I was duped! It ended up being Toasted Mallow Cupcakery, which will not be on my list of go-backs! Not really much better than store-bought… one of the cupcakes I ordered was banana, I expected it to actually be banana if I’m paying four bucks for one cupcake. It was simply flavored vanilla batter/cake… I’m disappointed because I’m looking for a good bakery. I recently moved here from Las Vegas where there are an abundance of amazing pastry chefs! I guess I’ll continue my hunt! One star, because the gal behind the counter was sweet, one star, because… Well, let’s face it. They’re still cupcakes!
Stumbled upon this gem while taking a lunch break and so happy I did! First off the inside is really cute and the staff is very friendly and pleasant! I ordered the vanilla because I absolutely love just a plain old vanilla cupcake. I took the cherry off, and bayyybeee, that cupcake was EVERYTHING! I'd go back just for the vanilla cupcake! The lemon was great as well, the Butterfinger, which I think is seasonal was quite tasty too. Definitely support local shops
Recently my friends and I have been wanting to try more dessert places in the area and I recalled seeing Sweet Daddy's Cupcakes when driving by. We went in and were greeted by the employee who was super kind and patient. She helped recommend several types of cupcakes for us. In the end we settled for half a dozen cupcakes which has a savings of about $2: the Pink Lemondrop, Banana Split, Chocolate Cheesecake, Carrot Cake, Pocket Full of Sunshine, and the Salted Caramel. The Pink Lemondrop tasted exactly like the name! A pink lemony strawberry cupcake with some lemondrops on top! The lemon cake tastes super succulent and paired very well with the strawberry frosting! Also the lemondrops are hard so be careful when biting in! I was impatient and accidentally bit into it a little too quick. The Banana Split tastes like a banana split sundae in cupcake form! The chocolate drizzle with the sprinkles on the frosting went very well with the banana flavored cake. Surprisingly the cake actually tastes like bananas and not like banana bread! The Carrot Cake was my overall favorite! If you're a fan of carrot cake then you should definitely get it! The cake tastes moist and the cream cheese frosting wasn't too sweet! The cake parts also have just the right amount of crunch from the nuts and carrots. The Pocket Full of Sunshine had the same tasting cake base as the Pink Lemondrop. It tasted super lemony and the frosting was thicker and harder than the others and reminds me of Hostess Cupcakes but way better and way more lemony. This was my second favorite out of the six I've tried. The Chocolate Cheesecake was very rich and decadent. The frosting wasn't too heavy and tasted like vanilla. I think there were dark chocolate bits in the cake part too. This was the better of the chocolate cupcakes I have tried. The graham cracker base was also a pleasant surprise! The Salted Caramel was a little too salty for my liking. There was also a pretzel on top that was surprisingly not salty when compared to the frosting. The cake wasn't too sweet but also wasn't overly chocolatey. If you like chocolate, I think the Chocolate Cheesecake would be the better since it was richer. Some people would like this one but to me this was my least favorite of the cupcakes I have tried. The store is also located in a shopping plaza so has a good amount of parking nearby. Not only do they sell cupcakes, they also sell items like Cream Pies, Mallow Pies, Cake Pops, Rice Crispies, and beverages like Lemonades and Milkshakes! Overall their cupcakes are phenomenal! Not only do they look beautiful and unique; the frosting which wasn't overwhelmingly sweet pairs super well with the cake and the flavors taste just like the name! The employees were patient and friendly and the interior was quaint and adorable. I will definitely be coming back here!
We were super excited to try these cupcakes for my daughters bday. Granted they are very "pretty" cupcakes and the customer service was great the staff is super friendly and helpful. Our entire party was unimpressed by the taste of the cupcakes. More than 1 person said frys cupcakes tasted better? Over half of them were half eaten and thrown into the trash, even by the kids! My daughter specifically wanted Red Velvet which she got, and also complained that it wasn't up to par with Smallcakes. $70 for 18 cupcakes and the majority of them were trashed Sadly these are nowhere near the size or delicious taste of "Smallcakes Ahwatukee". We wanted to badly to love these cupcakes. Unfortunately we will not return nor send referrals.
They have really fresh and wide varieties of cupcakes
Love the aesthetics. Cupcakes were good. I do like the flavor. The frostings were a little too soft and airy. I personally like firm frostings. Still delicious for the price. I like the packaging. The box was firm and sturdy. I was able to transport the goods without worrying the edges will get smushed or touched. Will be returning. $20 for 6 cupcakes. The Great Gadsby is still by far my personal favorite. Their frosting is great!
