I ordered a cake for my daughter’s 15th birthday. It had beautiful purple roses all over. Two tier chocolate cake with chocolate ganache in the middle. Absolutely delicious. I will always be a customer. Thank you so much.
We highly recommend Sweet Dream Desserts for wedding cakes! Their team worked with us while planning our wedding from out of state, and the cakes were beautiful and so tasty! The designs were exactly what we imaged in the planning process, and Deanna put together an AMAZING display table for our reception. We could not have asked for a better experience!
If I could give a zero I would. I called a month in advance for a toy story themed cake. Not only did they have to be reminded of the order, this was what I got. Not even remotely toy story. Not toy story colors or design. The words were sloppy and hastily done. To make it better. The cake felt like it had been frozen. It was stiff and hard. It was completely tasteless too. Not even a sweet flavor from the frosting. On top if it all, the smash cake was frozen and couldn't be smashed. Ruined that moment. I don't recommend for any moment that are special like a first birthday.
Wow, people are so rude in these comments! I have lived in the area for years now and never heard of Sweet Dream until my friend had requested a variety of treats for her graduation party. The cookies were so appealing to the eye I remember thinking that there was no way they could both look that great and taste good. WRONG. And though usually carrot cake has never been my favorite, nobody would stop ranting and raving so I gave in. The frosting to cake ratio was perfect, it was beyond fresh& moist and I really wish I tried everything else that was catered. It was clear that a substantial amount of time was spent paying attention to detail and perfecting everything about each item. 100/10 would recommend and when I need an order in the future I know who I will be calling.
I must preface this with the fact that I am not a cookie person…… The cookies here so so delicious it makes me feel like my grandma made them. They are huge, soft and yet slightly crunchy on the edges…. Oh my God. Do yourself a favor…. Just try them. Try the Cowboy- a real crowd pleaser. If you like gingerbread, try the ginger snap cookies. Absolutely delectable and the size of a plate. Way better than Crumbl Cookies by far. The staff are always SO nice. You’re supporting small business and boy you will appreciate it. I drive 40 minutes from home to get these bad boys. They are that good.

The staff is extremely polite and helpful! Their buttercream frosting is amazing! And the cupcakes are very moist and not overly sweet. Would recommend them a thousand times. Awesome local business. Still haven’t found a bakery that rivals their cakes since I left DeKalb. Try it, you won’t regret it.
I absolutely love sweet dreams! Their sweet treats are amazing especially the cupcakes! I'm not a huge fan of butter cream but I love theirs. I order all of my cakes from them when it comes to special events or celebrations and im never dissapointed. The most recent cake was for my sons 10th b-day. It was a fornite themed cake. It was beautifully done, colored was perfect, right of amount of decorations, and the taste ...delicious
Very disappointing experience. My daughter and I had a wedding cake tasting appt scheduled and we were stood up after making an hour long drive. We waited 15-20 mins. My daughter called and no one answered. She emailed Deanna as well. When my daughter did get a reply, Deanna's excuse she was "in the back". There was no attempt to reschedule or anything. This is not how to run a business. If you have an appointment, you should be ready for it. Guess it's called Sweet Dreams because it leaves you dreaming of what would've been. My suggestion is to check other bakeries in the area to serve your venue.
I ordered my daughters sweet 16 birthday cake from Hyvee bakery.When I went to pick it up I was devastated that it looked nothing like the picture I handed them. With less then 2 days before my daughters party ,I was left scrambling and worried that I wouldn't be able to find an actual bakery to pull off a cake in such short notice.I Google bakeries and picked Sweet dream bakery and when Donna the owner answered I explained my dilemma trying to hold back tears she was very sweet and professional put me on hold to see if she had anything I was asking for available to decorate and she did she made my daughters cake perfectly and in such short notice. Donna did a great job on my daughters cake and I'm so grateful she took the time to make this special cake.Thank you to sweet dream bakery. April McNeilly
