I just happened upon Sweet Home Food Bar last week while taking a walk in Tuscaloosa. The service was excellent. The food was superb. Sharon warmly welcomed me and took my order. She was personable and efficient in a busy restaurant. My food came hot, and delicious. The owner also came out to check if I needed anything. Very pleasant eating experience. Enjoyed dining on a Saturday night. Short wait for a table. Super attentive and friendly wait staff who made good recommendations. Food quality was terrific with nice size portions. Dessert was small but exceptional! Prices were reasonable and well worth the evening.

Sweet Home Food Bar was one of the best Tuscaloosa eats! The owner is wonderful, the managers are great, and our server Olivia went above and beyond to make sure our very large party was taken care of. Truly great service! And on top of that- the food is absolutely DELICIOUS!

Generally underwhelming. Went for Sunday brunch. They didn’t have our reservation in the system, which was fine because the restaurant was only half full. Despite not being particularly busy, we went most of the meal without drinks because our waitress never checked in for refills. Ended up having to flag her down for the check. Pictured are the breakfast nachos - sounded great, but were pretty bland. Would not get again. When the waitress asked, my fiancé requested his burger medium rare and it came well done and dried out. Our friend’s chicken did look good and the restaurant itself is cute. We do not live nearby, but this is not somewhere we’d return to if we were local. Parking: Street parking, so hit or miss whether you’ll be close.

We visited this restaurant on our way home from Tennessee to Louisiana. We were traveling with a three year old. The colors and paper table cloths were an instant hit! The server Anna was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Fried green tomatoes and eggplant rollarini appetizers were excellent. The Thai steak noodle salad was also delicious. The restaurant’s take on a chicken Reuben is not to be missed. Will be back!

Great couple. What a friendly, comfy, sophisticated venue! I truly enjoy the food and the love you taste from the sweet owners! We stumbled upon Wednesday Wine night and it was such a pleasure! If I was in Tuscaloosa more often, it would definitely be a weekly occurrence! The only picture I have is the one from a to-go order, but you will not be disappointed! Extremely service friendly!

Local restaurant serving local cuisine. The food came quickly. Nothing memorable. The wait staff were busy, but not well organized. The decor is dark. The acoustics make it hard to carry on a conversation.

We had our wedding rehearsal dinner here back in July and we could not have asked for a better place! Working with the owner was a breeze! She was very kind and made the entire process easy. The entire family LOVED the food, the servers were extremely attentive, and the food was marvelous! If you’re looking for a sign to visit Sweet Home Food Bar let this be it!
