4-H is an informal, practical, learning-by-doing educational program for youth.
4-H is a year-round Youth development program. Youth and their families are placed within clubs and guided through activities and projects individually and/or as a group. All 4-H activities seek to foster leadership, citizenship and life skills in youth in a safe environment with trained, caring adults. The purpose of 4-H is to help youth acquire knowledge, develop life skills, and form attitudes that will enable them to become self-directing, productive members of society.
The University of Wyoming Extension provides lifelong learning opportunities for the
people of Wyoming and empowers them to make choices that enhance their quality of
life.
