Our group rented three cabins. We were in the area for a wedding and so we didn't spend just a whole lot of time in the cabins. Our cabin slept 9 people with 1 bedroom having a king bed, and a twin. The other 3 bedrooms had queen beds. Plenty of bathrooms and showers/tubs. A heads up that would have been nice....there was only 3 forks and 3 spoons in our cabin, and only 1 extra trashbag between all three cabins we rented. The one cabins air conditioner was not working on the one side, so it was warmer than what we are used to. It was blitzing hot though the weekend we were there. There was also dogs running around that got into the black trash cans outside the cabin and drug trash around. Some of the flooring was coming apart in our cabin if that bothers anyone. Bottom line it worked great for our group, and the owners were very accommodating. It's just always nice to know exactly what to expect, and if you need to bring anything extra along.
We had a studio cabin. It was clean, TV had plenty of channels, it could have used some special touches like a basket for the coffee, towel rack maybe some prints on the walls. The outside of our cabin could have used some clean up. Now for the service. The best ever!! We were in a pinch, needed a place that would let us bring a 70lb dog during Bean Fest! The Brewers came through. They gave us the studio because it was the easiest to clean and it was budget friendly. We would stay again.
Do not book here! The heater could not heat the place effectively, making it impossible to sleep. The managers brought me two dinosaur radiator-like space heaters, and they tripped the breaker. Then the main heating unit did not work and power was out in a section of the cabin for the rest of the night. There is also an infestation of flying beetles in this cabin. I was killing about 10 per hour. Book elsewhere!!! The managers are kind, but the misery is REAL.
Pros: 1 Although it appeared to have been a while from the dead wasps in the floor, overall the cabin was clean. 2 Cabin had nice view with rockers on the front porch. Cons: 1 Musty smell. 2 Window air units had not been left on to cool the cabin down on a 98 degree day. It was miserably hot inside and we could not stay there for about 3 hours. 3 Very outdated and very cheaply built cabin. 4 Sign on fridge said extra blankets & pillows provided on hall shelf, but there were none. 5 Exposed outlets with no covers. 6 Random square cut out of the sheet rock in the bathroom 7 Appears bedroom furniture was moved at one time and never painted behind. 8 No extra trash bags. 9 Lots of trash laying around outside of cabin. 10 Hadn’t been weed-eated around cabin. 11 Very small shower 12 Horrible beds, you could feel the metal springs just by lightly running your hand on the comforter. 12 Gap in top of front door letting light/heat/ bugs in. 13 Molded baseboards in bathroom. 14 Only a couple of tv channels that actually work. Also to note, we found a little odd while trying to log in to wi-fi that there was another full strength signal called “bedroom speaker”. We did not feel comfortable and even felt somewhat unsafe. If we had booked for longer than one night, we would have requested refund. Unfortunately we cannot recommend and will not be back. Lots of these things are an easy fix, and would make it a much better experience for guests but obvious not a priority to owners.
Great location near the beautiful White River and just down the road from Anglers' Restaurant. We stayed in the one bedroom cabin. It was clean and met our needs but needs updating. The bedroom has 2 queen beds. The Brewers are the managers of the property and could not have been nicer or more accommodating. Property is a 5 minute drive from the town of Mountain View. Booked the 4 bedroom for a family trip and look forward to staying at Sylamore again in the next few weeks.
We couldn't have been happier. Very friendly staff. Our cabin was wonderful and priced more than reasonable! We stayed in #16. 3 bedroom, full size washer and dryer which was perfect for our family of 8. A/C worked great! Bathtub/shower in both bathrooms. Swing on the front porch. Full size kitchen. We are a large family so we picked up extra bowls and pans for cooking in. But the kitchen came fully stocked with dishes, pots and pans and plenty of silverware. The neighborhood was very quiet. No loud vehicles and rarely actually saw people. Very peaceful. Every view was of mountains. We are from Northeast Texas so it was a real change in scenery. Just beautiful. We would be happy to stay here again.
We had a blast! We stayed in cabin #18 and it was great. 2 bedrooms and a loft with 3 twin beds. The screened in back deck was fantastic. We had a great view of the "White River" about 50 yards from the cabin. We would highly suggest.... Mrs. Debra was a very gracious host and we caught our limit in nice size rainbow trout. A+ trip!
I was Manager for 1 year, extended Cabin's#2&3, from a one bedroom two four bedroom three bath with jacuzzi it's a beautiful place to stay during all the festivals. Go visit and explore for yourself you will not be disappointed !!
Our family of 5 stayed a few nights in one of the 2 BR + loft cabins on a recent trip to Blanchard Springs Cavern. The cabin was everything we needed. The kids almost fought over who got the loft bedroom. TV's in the living room and every bedroom. The washer and dryer came in very handy! Very friendly and helpful owners. Would not hesitate to stay here again, or recommend to anyone.
I was disappointed. The room smelled like smoke. There were lots of creepy folks hanging around and the owner even said they've had a problem with thieves. There was coffee and a pot but no filters in our room. The beds were hard with minimal blankets and a spider. The face of the a/c unit was off and laying in the corner. The showers were small and cramped and water got all over the floor. The couch cusions weren't even put on the right way. A sign in the bathroom said there were extra towels under the sink and there wasn't. I honestly felt uncomfortable and unsafe the whole stay.
