I really want to give five stars, however I felt a little bit in the dark at the time, now I know better. I had a root canal 11/16 and have a scheduled appointment to get a crown 12/1. At thanksgiving I bit a pecan sandie, usually fairly soft but got a pecan on the tooth and cracked it. I take responsibility, but if they stressed the diet restrictions better would help their case. I went to a different dentist, they told me they do everything in their office! Man, I if I knew about them earlier saved an extra 1500. Now, going in today to get it pulled…ug. The three stars are mainly for their front desk which I echo the other five stars reviews, they set a high bar.
I needed an emergency root canal, Dr. Atchison and his 2 amazing assistants worked me in to their schedule when no one else would! I can not say enough about them. Dr. Atchison was patient. He explained things to me thoroughly and in a way that I could understand. He made sure I was comfortable and felt no pain. I highly recommend him and his assistants too :
When I went in, and they told me they didn’t take insurance, and that I needed to pay cash, I figured there would be a problem. However, the they did say they would file the claim for me and that I should have no problem being paid by Delta Dental. And sure enough, the insurance did not receive proper documentation to pay the claim, part of his charges were not covered, and others were considered excessive by my dental insurance. Not to mention all the time on the phone to get my claim properly filed by his office. If I had to do over, I would’ve definitely gone someplace else. However, I do have to take some responsibility. I should have done more research before going to his office.
Synergy Endodontics in Beaufort, SC is a wonderful, friendly office. 8 out of 10 people I know are terrified of the dentist but at Synergy you will let go of any fears. Their receptionist Pam went above and beyond the parameters of her job to help me. I am in the hospitality industry so I look for customer service that is above board and Pam exceeded my expectations. Please keep up the good work.
I’ve been to the Beaufort location which is amazing and now he has opened up a Hilton Head location which is also amazing. I think he has the best staff and technology available. I love that he communicates with you during the process. My favorite part is the Novocaine wand that injects rather than getting multiple stabs from a needle.
Dr. Atchison was patient and meticulous throughout my entire complicated redo root canal. I was so nervous, as I’ve only had that same one done, years prior, somewhere else. He talked me through the whole procedure, let me know exactly what was going on, and really eased those nerves. I definitely recommend him for your endodontics needs.
5 stars isn’t enough! I truly cannot say enough about Synergy and each of their team members. I found myself in the less than ideal situation of needing a root canal. Thankfully, I found myself in a truly incredible practice that offers extraordinary care. Sharon is an absolute delight to coordinate an appointment with. She put me at ease immediately. Dr. McGrew and his assistant, Mikah sp*, were one of a kind. Dr. McGrew was so calm and gentle and made the appointment enjoyable! Thank you for making someone like me who is apprehensive about dental treatments feel safe and comfortable.
My experience was great, they were able to work with my schedule, explain everything to me in a way I could understand and did a fantastic job. The entire staff made sure I was comfortable for the entire proceadure and if at any point I had a question or request they were quick to help me understand and take care of my needs. Quality Care!
Dr. McGrew and staff were great! It's been about a year since I had the root canal and all is well. Great treatment, professional service and a wonderful outcome! Highly recommend.
As a endodontist who has personally worked with Dr. McGrew, I highly recommend him for anyone needing endodontic specialty services. His expertise and technical skill are second-to-none. His knowledge and breadth of the current endodontic literature and dental studies are also quite impressive. If I am ever in need of a root canal, I am certainly making the commute to see Dr. McGrew before any other specialist.
