Syracuse Police Department provides fingerprinting services to members of the public.
Fingerprinting services are done on Mondays from 2 PM-4 PM and Fridays from 9 AM to 12 PM (excluding holidays). Our fingerprinting services are performed by volunteers from the Syracuse Lion’s Club; we recommend calling at the start of times outlined above to make sure a volunteer will be available to perform this service. The cost for fingerprints is $10.00 per card for Syracuse residents or those who need fingerprints for employment in Syracuse (proof is required); non-residents pay $15.00 per card.
Syracuse Police Department provides a prescription drug disposal bin in the lobby of the police department. The bin is available Monday – Friday from 8 AM – 5 PM (excluding holidays).
All prescription medication must be secured in a proper prescription container, or in a Ziploc style baggie. Syringes, creams, liquids, vitamins, over the counter medication, and loose pills are NOT accepted in the bin. Syringes must be placed in the Sharps container located above the drug disposal bin.
Records requests can be filed at the police department Monday – Friday 8 AM – 5 PM. A GRAMA request form can also be obtained at syracuseut.com and then emailed to [email protected]. Costs for records requests from Syracuse Police Department can be found in the Syracuse City Consolidate Fee Schedule
