I have eating at Taco John’s since I was a teenager. I stop at at lots them throughout every town. My best is in Vermilion that seem to really fill up the burritos. Many times I come here it hardly has any filling. One thing I can’t understand why fountain pop is so expensive here. It doesn’t cost that much. Heck any size at McDonalds for a dollar.
I was just at the Yankton store where Brianna was very pleasant. It was nearing closing time on a Monday! The food was hot and I received it quickly. She asked if I needed a receipt which I declined. I rarely take the time for surveys but I was impressed. I feel bad because I didn't have take receipt so I didn't have the survey info. Thank you for the positive experience.
It's fast food people. If you like Taco John's this place is a great stop. The place is always clean and the people are very friendly.Food: 4/5
Most of the food was good, however the kids cheese quesadilla was EXTREMELY disappointing. It was hard and there was barely any cheese in it. See the pic of quesadilla
It kind of varies from day to day. Some days you go and they get your order perfect. Other days it's wrong or something is forgotten. There's even been a few instances where it smelled strongly enough like weed that you could smell it when you got in the parking lot for drive through. ‍
What can I say about a fast food That you haven't heard already.
Don't order online unless you want to wait twice the time as the drive thru and only get half your order with most things cold by the time you get it! I've watched 5 cars go through the drive thru when I ordered less than they did. This last time forgot 2 easy items "potato oles" on my order extra cheese wasn't even half full with nothing to use it on.
Good food, albeit greasy. 3 stars because the food here is all disgustingly overpriced. And they have a lack of bundle deals to help lower costs outside of the 6-pack and a pound. If they took up a model similar to Taco Bell where they had some rotating meal bundles for $5-$6, they would easily be a 4 star. Lower prices by about 10% and it would be a 5 star.
It would be awesome to get what you paid for, unfortunately if that's what your looking for, this is not the place. Not only did they get my order wrong it was rushed.. asking rudely "Is that it?" Over an over when trying to order multiple items. Not the first time this has happened, but it definitely will be the last.
If your a vegetarian, this is the place for you. The burritos are nothing but rice and beans. The staff acts as if they're high on whatever. I feel for the owner, I'm sure it's hard to get help. Toco John's is scraping the bottom of the barrel. When the bag is half ripped when they hand you your order, you know they have no pride in what there preparing.
