Taco's Treat Shop is a local business in Chesapeake, VA that makes pet treats with real, quality ingredients. All products are made fresh (in small batches) when ordered and have added calcium carbonate to promote bone health.
I started making food and treats for Taco several years ago after he experienced medical issues related to his food. His food was causing him to drink water excessively, and was told by the vet that he was still dehydrated. So I started a journey to find better food for Taco, and quickly realized that the packaging on many pet food products say "not for human consumption." Now....I've never eaten dog food but it concerned me that I had been feeding my chihuahua something I shouldn't eat. No surprise that it didn't agree with him!
I decided to start making his food for him so that I can control the ingredients in his food. And he has been fine ever since! We never use additives or preservatives to anything we sell. They can be toxic to your pet!
