I went through the drive through with 3 cars in line. After ordering it took 22 minutes to get my food. It wasn’t a complicated order and just for 1 person. This taco time has been going down hill for awhile, but that experience was horrible. People working there were very nice, but just maybe not enough staff or something? The building itself could use a little updating as well, showing signs of its age.
Always has great food and friendly service. However the front counter staff is very slow to take orders or greet people. ****That being said: ***** Their dining area and condiment area was absolutely filthy sticky and I didn't even want to set my cup down on the surface. Trash cans were overflowing tables were sticky floor was dirty. I understand they might be understaffed but that doesn't mean you ignore the cleanliness of your public area. I almost asked for a rag so I could wipe down the condiment area. I hope this gets addressed because this is the only location in Gig Harbor and everything else is pretty on point. I will change my review if I notice these problems improve.
Guy on the road, dining at home. Taco Time was founded in Eugene by a family who were friends of my parents when I was young. So, I will pick Taco Time over other big box places when I can, on the road. They feature fresh over frozen. When they launch a new product I will usually give it a try...like the Taco burger.
The gentlman working the drivethrough has ALWAYS been an absolute delight. He is professional, delightful and very charismatic. I dont often feel compelled to write reviews, but this circumstance is different. Hopefully he gets the kudos he deserves. The foods good too haha P.s. i saw his nametag. His name is collin
I ordered online for pickup. When I got there, I thought they had missed something, but turned out I had ordered funky and they had actually made my order exactly as I had specified unintentionally. They were SO gracious and didn't make me feel dumb at all, but promptly made my order exactly how I had intended without charging me more. They were all so wonderful and the true epitomy of customer service.
Shere has the most recognizable voice of any non famous person I've ever known. It's not that it sounds like the transatlantic accent, but it's like that in the way it is it's own sort of refined customer service way of speaking. Much like something that's been perfectly programed more than something natural. But in the best way possible. Anytime I come through the drive-thru I always hope she's working. You should look into voice acting Shere! You're one of a kind! The tacos are great too!
Usually a all over five, but when the lady in charge asks three times if you have been helped, then asked surprised the fourth time and blames a poor kid for her mistake, then I watched her mess up one order after another, scrape cheese off food that was not suppose to have cheese adds more beans and passes it as okay, omg.Food: 5/5
1st and only time I will go here. I ordered a crispy beef taco mini meal. Took forever and I was the only one inside. What I received was a chilled, nonseasoned ground beef wrap with ice cold slices of tomato. You really need to consult with someone with Hispanic heritage on your menu and food prep. No salsa in a taco, seriously? Not sure what the milky opaque white stuff that was dripping from this 'taco' but not great. After a couple bites, I threw in trash at gas station and gave my dogs the tots. Nothing special about the tots, not sure why they were featured in a commercial. I get that Gig Harbor is mostly white, but many of us know what good Mexican food tastes like.
I want to love this store and I used to. It was my go to healthier option for fast food. There are many staff who I have seen for years and they work hard and are friendly. The last few times I have been through have progressively gotten worse. Today was a deal breaker. The chips smelled and tasted almost rancid! My taco salad was soaked from very wet lettuce. I don't even mind that the store is old and needs a major remodel as long as the food is NW Fresh. Today it was a 1-star
Shout out for Collin at the drive-through window. This guy has never failed to be indefatigably cheerful, kind, efficient and charming and I've been driving through and ordering the same things for a couple of years now. Do Not Lose Him. I would hire him away in a minute. Obviously I like the food too!!
