Tacoma Rifle & Revolver Club is a private non-profit club and is one of the oldest shooting sports clubs west of the Mississippi River. Matches were held on our property starting in 1889. We incorporated the club in 1931. TRRC is located on 68 acres in the middle of University Place, Washington just down the road from the Chambers Creek Golf Course, site of the 2015 US Open Championship. We host a variety of shooting sports events, including benchrest rifle and smallbore, smallbore rifle, NRA High Power Rifle, and NRA 2700 Pistol. Our club is NRA-Affiliated, a Premier Member range of the National Shooting Sports Foundation, a National Benchrest Shooters Federation, and several other shooting sports organizations. We teach a range of NRA-certified firearms courses, including Basic Pistol, Basic Rifle, on through Personal Protection courses, Metallic Cartridge Reloading and Range Safety Officer. We also teach Washington State Hunter Education courses. Our instructors are all club members and volunteers who teach because they want to help others enjoy their firearms safely and responsibly. We promote safe, responsible firearms ownership and enjoyment of the shooting sports.
