The designed evolution of the most effective self-defense system in the world, Krav Maga, when coupled with modern professional tactical weapons training.
What is Tactical Krav Maga?
Tactical Krav Maga is the natural evolution of the Israeli Krav Maga self defense system when used in conjunction with modern weapons training and specifically developed to address the scenarios and environments seen in today's Law Enforcement actions and other documented violence. Furthermore, the base system of Krav Maga and its principles while forming the absolute foundation of training, required expansion to address threats beyond the normal. Most importantly, Tactical Krav Maga recognizes and seeks to fill holes in training functionality. Where techniques and principles may be perfectly sound, training methodology was found to create 'crutches' and 'habits' that even the most realistic training scenarios weren't addressing.
Tactical Krav Maga brings the sound principles of the past to solve new threats, adds tactical and weapons training to self defense, and creates skill sets by using special drills and tools to force a quickened perceptual response to a threat and not just rely on the largest response available, which the practitioner may not have adequate time or distance to deploy. The outcome of the training allows the practitioner to be proactive in a response or reactive when time and space dictate it, and still offers options after the initial reaction to transition back to proactive tactics.
Who is Tactical Krav Maga?
Born out of necessity, Imi created Krav Maga. Likewise, Tactical Krav Maga was born when James Hiromasa and his team of Law Enforcement Instructors recognized large flaws in the way training was being conducted on the extreme threat level. James has been training law Enforcement Instructors for over a decade in Krav Maga, and along with the Colorado Krav Maga DeTac Instructors (all active LEO's), he created Tactical Krav Maga to solve those flaws.
James and Shannon (wife and co-owner) are Instructor Trainers for multiple national Krav Maga Organizations. Although offered positions within these organizations, James decided he could best spread quality Krav Maga by not limiting his options and remains a free agent working to train instructors everywhere regardless of affiliations. With over 30 years of martial arts, security, and tactical experience to bring to the table, it's obvious why they are in such high demand for seminars and instructor training across the US.
