About

Cozy Cottages on Lake Tahoe's West Shore.
Cottages for couples & families. You can even bring your four footed friend. ADA suite available

Description

Step back in time at Lake Tahoe and visit our historic and charming little red cottages. This is what Tahoe was 50 years ago. We are located on Lake Tahoe's quiet West Shore. Away from the noise, crowds and casinos of the South and North Shores. ADA compliant suite available upon request, subject to availability.

Each cabin is uniquely decorated with mountain elegance and surrounded by huge pines. All of our cottages have private entrances and baths, many with claw foot soaking tubs. Some of our cottages also have fireplaces. We can accommodate families in our cottages with kitchens. You will find hammocks and garden furniture throughout the property for your relaxation.

Enjoy the view of Tahoe anytime of day in our common room. We have snacks out every day from 5-6pm. For those staying in our B & B cottages we serve a family style breakfast in our common room from 8-10am every morning. We pride ourselves on providing a very private and relaxed setting for both couples and families.

Lake Tahoe is an outdoor recreation paradise. During the summer and fall enjoy the fantastic fly fishing, hiking, bicycling, golfing, boating, swimming and rafting. Winters at Tahoe are spectacular with many ski areas for both downhill and cross-country skiing. Or travel into the wilderness for the solitude back country skiing and snow shoeing.

This beautiful 2 bedroom/2 bath cabin leaves you with a feel of "Old Tahoe." A-frame roof with log pillars. The interior decorating is a perfect Tahoe cabin feel. The natural landscape is lovely. Quiet street. We enjoyed evening walks with our dogs. The mattress was probably the worst we have ever slept on - hard, and felt every spring. We received a text from Ulla, the owner, checking in to see if we needed anything. We replied there was one coffee filter for our 4 night stay. She said "yes! we are all out, and invited us to go shopping at the high priced Tahoe Market to buy some more to supply the cabin. At $399 a night, we thought that maybe should be supplied. There is also no Saran wrap or baggies - so make a note to bring supplies. There is a note asking you to leave a tip for the cleaning people; I own 2 Airbnb's, and the "cleaning fee" goes entirely to them - not sure why we paid $125 cleaning fee, and were also asked to leave a tip. Our 4 night stay was over $2k after taxes, $100 dog fee, and $125 cleaning fee. We won't be back because of the cost, and lack of sleep due to the mattress. Not to mention having to bring our own kitchen supplies, and add a tip on top of the cleaning fee; we did not use 85% of anything there, and left it spotless. Noteworthy details: authentic Tahoe cabin feel. Lots of attention to detail.
I loved this place. Cabins may be a bit dated, but I think that adds to the charm. Cabins are super clean and spacious. Staff are wonderful. Continental breakfast is limited, but the items offered made great hiking snacks.
Tahoma Meadows was fine, but definitely don’t expect anything amazing. The “breakfast” was really just some fruit or oatmeal or granola bars that you can go pick up from the front desk. The “king bed” is really just two twin beds put together. Generally the furniture is a bit dated and the room is fairly small. The rooms are clean and the front desk staff when open are friendly.
We stayed at Tahoma Meadows Cottages for 2 nights, and it gave us some much needed rest after visiting multiple cities. The area is beautiful and there is lots of hiking close by. The staff were very kind. Covid precautions are still in place, so we didn’t get a chance to experience the breakfast we’d seen people rave about in other reviews. They made sure we had plenty of food, tea, and coffee to have a good breakfast in our cottage each morning though.
We greatly appreciated finding a cabin we can cook our breakfast in and let our 4 legged family member to tag along. We did see a bear! How exciting is that? We stayed in the Tree House and it was enough space for a family of 4 with a furry friend. Your pet is not allowed on the furniture but our dog understands this so long as we bring his bed along, we brought his bed and his favorite blanket. Location is close to plenty of parks and sport rental places.
I've been coming back to this cozy mini cabin based bed and breakfast for the past 10 years and it's become a tradition around the holidays. The owners are amazing, breakfasts are delicious and you get to stay in your own tiny cabin.Rooms: 5/5
Needed a quick getaway and discovered this place - owners had the room prepped light and heat on and a COVID-OK snack on the table. We were late arrival. Our check in info was where they said it would be. Cabin was very comfortable and nicely decorated. In the morning we met the great owners. Fun and personable. Very attentive if needed. All went very well. Will certainly make this a go-to when we need to recharge!
What a wonderful find this was! My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon for the past few days and we have been nothing but pleased with our experiences here. It is a quiet, peaceful, homey B&B in a great location about midway between South Lake Tahoe and Tahoe City. We were very happy with our proximity to both great hikes and great restaurants. The staff was so helpful and sweet and the daily breakfasts were so tasty! They have brewed coffee and tea, and there is a coffee shop just a quick 6 minute walk down the road if you need something fancier. We also liked that there was a wonderful paved walking trail along the road for miles and miles in either direction which allowed for beautiful views of the lake and surrounding forests and meadows and a great spot to get the doggos some extra exercise. Do keep in mind the cabins are pretty small, we had 2 adults and 2 large dogs and that was about all you could fit in our cabin. That being said we would still definitely recommend this place for a cozy cabin stay!
Located 2 minute drive from Sugar Pine State Park and near other cross country skiing & snowshoeing tracks. Cabins are surrounded by pine trees. Lovely place! Moose cabin was very cozy with cute fireplace. I would definitely came back.
Cozy cabins in a quiet park-like setting with tall trees. Friendly staff, neatly maintained. Cabin was quaint and inviting with a gas fireplace, cozy bed, claw-foot tub, good wifi, coffee maker, fridge, microwave. A really pleasant stay.
