I do enjoy walks here, but it is easy to get lost. Better trail markers would help. Also, beware that many people walk their dogs off leash. Some of the trails do get muddy after rain.
Great place to walk. There's enough hills on the outer trails to get a work out or you can stick to the inner trails and avoid them. Mostly paved. Only one small area that gets muddy when it rains but you can avoid that by taking a different route. We like to walk our dog there as many others do. I've only ran into 1 unleashed dog and the owner instantly leashed when they saw us.
Great place to get in touch with nature. Birds and bugs a plenty. Can get a little muddy and some of the paths are in rough shape and impassable but overall a fun place to chill out.
Love it it's a half hour drive from where I live but well worth the ride my dog loves it there to many spots to explore and get a good walk in whether your a beginner or advanced they have a short trail and long one to walk so if you like going on a hike with family or just to get out it's the perfect place
I had a wonderful 1-hour walk today at this state park with my Golden Doodle and two daughters. The trails are absolutely beautiful, providing a serene and scenic experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our time surrounded by nature's beauty. Highly recommended for families and dog owners!
Overgrown in parts. Bridges need repair and upkeep. Trails not clearly marked. Could use some love.
Has paved and unpaved trails, which is great for exploring with little ones if you need a stroller. It is peaceful and beautiful with a small pond.
This is an excellent park I’m almost afraid to give 5 stars so it stays a well kept secret! Opened recently in a conversion of a golf course to the wilds it now is; great pairing of paved comfortable paths formerly for carts and water features worth departing from the paths for. Great park for birding! Short loop easily manageable, and longer trail is a full +1 hour nature walk.
Abandoned golf course turned nature preserve. Basically letting Mother Nature take it back. Always see people there. Not tons but on average 6-10 cars in parking lot. Lot is big . The grounds are big with a map posted. Nice place to walk with stream, pond , few little bridges and a few fairly steep inclines toward the back of property. But nothing the average person couldn’t do with a little leg muscle. You won’t be bent over trying to catch your breath for ten minutes . Just a slight burn in the legs if out of shape. Lol! All in all a decent place to walk with family, by yourself or even ride the bike. IMO not worth a long distance car ride to go. If you live within half hour to 40 minutes tops I’d say go for it. I live 20 minutes away but usually stop when passing and I have half hour or more of free time. Enjoyable location.
Great place to get away and feel like you are in the country but still in the city. Love it here
