Very very unprofessional law firm. After setting up an appointment and speaking with Scott Talley we were informed to bring in documentation and was told that he would take our case and follow up with us. Well to make a long story short I never heard back him after dropping our case he even though I called a left several voicemail for a follow up. Due to me not being informed i continued making appointments with the chiropractor that he referred me to. Had I'd known that he was going to drop my case I would've stopped going to the chiropractor he referred me to that ripped me off and over charged me and went to the one I preferred. Do not deal with this law firm unless you want someone to handle your case that is very very unprofessional.
Selling my house, the buyer chose Talley Law Firm. The people were all nice and prompt. But, the attorney & title search company were INCOMPETENT. The new deed didn't include any mention of the deeded access road, without which the property would be landlocked. I caught the error & had to insist it be corrected. Otherwise, the buyer would have been screwed when later selling the property or getting a loan. When discussing the road, the attorney continually referred to the deeded road as an easement, even after being corrected numerous times and having to explain to the buyers the difference between the two. Why the attorney, title company and lender didn't realize that the property would have been landlocked is a shock to me. Oddly though, the attorney did include one easement on the deed. It was for access to the far side of the neighboring property given by his neighbor beyond that property. It did not relate to our transaction and I had it removed from the deed. I'd suggest finding ANYONE ELSE for your property sale. It is the attorney's job to watch the details and to protect their clients. He totally failed in this case.
Scott Talley is so personable and tells one just how things are and what the outcome of things might be. He speaks in layman's terms to make certain one understands the situation and how the law sees things as opposed to how one might wish it to be. He is still handling a case for me and my family and I have the utmost respect and trust in Scott Talley. His staff are very nice and if unable to answer questions, they will find someone else who can. Thank you to all at Scott Talley Law Firm.
Without going into a whole lot of detail, Scott, Whitney and the entire staff were the absolute best in this entire deal! Friends, they are the best in the business! You will not be disappointed!
Saw Mr. Talley on September 4 about an easement issue. He was very receptive to the information I brought in and showed me other information that I wasn't aware of all legal, of course. He told me what he thought I should do based on past and current records and we proceeded. Today is September 11 and the issue is resolved. Now that's what I call action! I can't thank him and Jane enough for their help. Can't recommend them enough and I normally don't do recommendations.
I asked for assistance in a probate matter concerning my son's estate. His ex girlfriend took everything from my son's home that was his not hers. Mr. Talley suggested speaking with another attorney closer to where the ex is and not my son's home. He suggested we sue her! This is a probate matter not a criminal one! Wish we could find an attorney that knows the law!! No help at all from this guy!!
Mr. Bender was top notch when it came to handling my husband's case. He was always very attentive when we had a meeting. We truly appreciate all his hard work.
The paralegal there is completely ignorant. I called and asked to speak with Wendy Griffith, who came highly recommended by another attorney. Only to call and speak with the paralegal who either couldn't relay the correct information, and definitely couldn't maintain any confidence in the information she was giving me. I asked a simple question and provided a clear statement to back it..."I am being harassed by girls who are now using DSS as a form of harassment, and I'm seeking an attorney who can pull the false report filed, petition a judge in family court, have the case closed, and pursue charges against the person filing the false report and harassing me and my innocent children. Would Wendy be able to represent me?" This "paralegal's" responses were: "She can't deal with anything concerning DSS, she has a contract with them." "The children would need a guardian and she is their guardian so she can't represent you." "I can schedule you a consultation for $150.00." in which I told her over and over, "My children are fine, I've been being harassed and by a group of girls and their most recent attempt at harassment was by sending DSS a false report and having them come out to assess my children at 1130pm for nothing and the case worker instructed me on what to do in order to have charges filed for the false report and have the case closed. They don't have a guardian, and there isn't a hearing or anything regarding court. My children are perfectly fine." She then places me on hold, and comes back and says "I can schedule you for an appointment to speak with her directly, but she doesn't speak to anyone without a consultation fee of $150.00" Like are the lawyers in this office that hard up for money or do they not win or take as many cases that they can't answer a question over the phone? Or was the paralegal just that oblivious to the question that was asked because she wasn't actually listening? It's really pathetic, and I wouldn't recommend anyone deal with any person, or legal team who is only about a dollar. I would never pay $150.00 just for someone to tell me that they can't represent me. And money is my least concern, and I still wouldn't do it if it were a penny. #pathetic
