The Department provides a variety of programs, events and services designed to make a difference and improve the quality of life for all participants.
The Department hosts three exciting programming facilities and various parks for public enjoyment. The Caporella Aquatic Complex, the Tamarac Community Center (TCC) and Tamarac Park all provide quality programs and services for the public including a fitness center, pool and swim classes, youth and teen programs, senior and adult fitness and wellness programming, social services, athletics and sports fields rentals and more.
The Department has its own City transit system and also offers a paratransit system for residents. At the TCC residents can take a fitness class, play volleyball, and sign up for a trip and many other activities.
The Caporella Aquatic Center houses a fitness facility, sprayground area, competition pool with slide, locker rooms, concession area and a pavilion for party rentals.
Tamarac Park is home to the brand new 2-story Recreation Center, gymnasium, multi-purpose center and ballfields.
