The TAMIU Lamar Bruni Vergara Planetarium is a one-of-a-kind teaching, learning, and special occasion space located on the campus of Texas A&M International University. The planetarium is open to the public for shows, star-gazing events, field trips, and private functions; the Planetarium reflects TAMIU's commitment to service through educational engagement with the community. The TAMIU planetarium is one of the most sophisticated planetariums in the State of Texas and operates a state-of-the-art digital projection system. This new technology which was completely upgraded in late 2014, allows not only a view from planet Earth, but from any part of the known universe as well; allowing us to take audiences to spectacular unseen vistas, that can only be photographed by highly developed large telescopes.
The TAMIU Lamar Bruni Vergara Planetarium’s mission is to create and present enlightening experiences that inspire wonder in learning about space and science.
