We stopped here for lunch before heading out to go kayaking on the river. We had burgers and they were very good. Our oldest son had the meat and cheese omelet and said it was also very good. Friends rented kayaks we have our own and we're happy with their experience.
The best pancakes I have ever had. Delicious so much so when again for 2nd time since I am here on vacation. My little girl loves them too. Love the atmosphere and the people who work there
Did kayak trip 7, was a great ride. Took my time, lots of places to swim and relax out on the water. Very professional operation with a cool store to get anything you need for the trip.
The food is very tasty! Nice little place to stop by and check out of your planning on hiking for the day.. but if you want Budlight.. which I certainly don't.. don't go here.
Nice store with friendly people. The $126.00 pre-authorization on my credit card gave me a scare though. Thought I had been skimmed at the pump.
Great people! My friend and I showed up for a kayak trip not knowing what to expect. Shawn sat down and showed us where to camp, fish and how to navigate the river. Tangent took care of my truck and picked us up when it was time to get off the river. When we said we didn’t feel like the 7 hour hour back home Shawn offered us place on the river to stay for the night. It was a great little place with a good view. They truly went out of their way to make it a good trip for us.
Terrible customer service anymore. Looks like a teenager in the deli that doesn’t want to help anyone. Stood there for 10 minutes before the man in the deli had to help me while she was too invested in her phone to help paying customers. She looked straight at me when I walked in and didn’t say anything to me. All I had was a pickup order too.
I got their "Captain Jack" burger. It was juicy and flavorful, and the pretzel bun was perfectly toasted. I was very happy with my food from them.
Had a great time kayaking down the New river! Very scenic and beginner friendly, especially trip 6 from Eggleston to Pembroke. Don’t forget to stop by and explore the many caves and rock arches along the river banks.
My son and I used their shuttle service 3 separate days and we will definitely be using them again next time we float the New River!
