My partner and I have been with Tanneberger Vet since we moved to the area last summer and I'm thankful we found such caring, empathetic and thorough people to help care for our Great Dane, Hrothgar. We recently had a neuter and gastropexy surgery done and the entire staff was so kind and patient with us. Hrothgar is healing so well and the process went as smooth as possible. We trusted them with our baby's life and they certainly didn't disappoint! They called next day to check on us and extended their welcome to contact them whenever we needed. Can't thank them enough for giving such amazing care and compassion to my giant baby <3
We had such a positive experience with this vet today! They were so kind and attentive to our dog and they really went above and beyond in their care for our sweet 9 year old boy! This was such a better experience then what we had previously dealt with at another vets office.
I took a few months to process this before posting a review. I will say that it was a very unwelcoming atmosphere as soon as I got there as I wasn’t even acknowledged by staff when trying to check in. I was then treated like I was inconveniencing reception by showing up for the appointment and giving my pup’s name. I went only one time and paid nearly $1300 for an x-ray of my pup’s paw and some medication. Granted, they suggested getting her sedated to do the X-ray. I went to a different vet for a follow up after having a poor experience with them and they took many full body X-rays, which my pup was an angel for while unsedated they didn’t recommend it to be necessary and it cost me around $320 including her meds. They did give a follow up call at Tannebergers, which I appreciated though! Perhaps they were just having a bad day, but it was a turn off for the first experience with them
I felt like I was being judged there hardcore when i checked in, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt as the doctor herself does seem to care for animals. She treated my cat wonderfully. Front desk girls seem sarcastic, and condescending.
If I could give 0 stars I would. I’ve waited a few months to post a review to calm down. I brought my Saint Bernard here because no one in the area was taking new clients. His breathing was beyond labored, he sounded like he was stroking out with every breath, even just laying down. Dr Kaitlin saw him, and was more concerned over this 11 year old Saint Bernards cloudy eyes than his breathing. After I refused to go to a specialty clinic for his eyes because his eyes were the least of my worries, she told me he was just panting and left the room. I got home and cried my eyes out. Panting??? I’ve had this boy since he was barely 6 weeks old! I know when he pants. The vet tech even told me it was excessive. I took my boy to the emergency clinic in Williston, he had a tracheal collapse and sadly I had to put him down. These people shouldn’t even be in business. If you love your pets and value their life, do not go here. They will do whatever they can to make money while simultaneously slowly allowing your pet to die a slow and painful death. Luckily the Champlain Veterinary clinic was willing to take us on quickly because we had used them before moving to Maine and I am so grateful for that. Never again will any of those people set hands on my pets. Never. I have half a mind to sue the daylights out of them because I have video of him in their office that day struggling to breathe with her yelling me he’s just panting.
Our favorite vets. Always so caring and willing to help any way that they can. Tanneberger was the third vet we tried and we’ve stuck with them for 7 years now. The others were less expensive, but the quality of care was not nearly as good. I feel we have a good trade off here. I’ve had problems in the past with vet offices not taking it seriously enough that my dog is dog aggressive, and it always turned into stress. I’ve never once had that problem here. They time things perfectly so that we never see other dogs and they don’t treat him any differently for it either. They make everything easy and they’re always willing to answer dumb questions. I even called today from tractor supply to ask for food recommendations and they were so prompt and helpful. They’ve taken good care of us and I highly recommend them.
I don't even wana to guve them a one star a negative star would be great!!!!!!!! I just barley called their to ask questions about get my dog seen and fixed and first appointment and because I apparently asked too many questions or was bugging the girl because she was very rude and it lacked common courtesy and locked customers service skills because she was very rude I am totally floored at the way I was treated and then the fact I was hung up on like seriously don't treat me like I'm lower than you that was totally disrespectful and I will never ever refer this place to anybody so I give this place three negative Stars have a nice day
If I could give them a minus -5 I would. I used them for 12 years. All they want is your money. I would not recommend them at all.
I've brought my cat here for years and never had problems as far as their treatment of us. The claims of them being overpriced are definitely a consideration that I cannot argue with. They used to up-sell me on things like treats and feliway, and I'd find that they charge double or more. However, I do trust them with my pet and his health. They have communicated with me effectively and answered any of my questions whenever I've had to go there. The staff does seem to be changing, but the level of service has not for me. I would recommend if you can afford it, at least for cats.
