Love this place. Family owned business. I have been shopping here since 1987. All kinds of cool stuff if you are into building electronics. Components, tools, cables, etc.
Best surplus electronics retail store outside of California.
I have been shopping here for years and know of no better place to go than this. They always have an excellent selection of various electronic parts for all types of needs. Excellent place for repair parts and components for hobbyists and electronic enthusiasts. Always friendly help available for any questions you may have as well.
Tanner Electronics had everything we needed for a home project and the prices aren't bad for the amount of options available. We did bring our smaller children and they were so excited to see all the items we would be able to use at home instead of the typical Amazon purchases that just show up. They even had a few books the kids could look through and purchase for a $1, which allowed them not to get too bored while we split up and shopped. The owners are very kind and even gave our kids some stickers! I would not typically recommend to bring children here unless they can be properly supervised as everything is low and easily could be grabbed by small children.
Love this place! Since its a family owned business, they do a lot to cater to everyone including hobbyists and small businesses. If you are into electronics, these guys have most things you'll need. I usually expect to spend an hour or two carousing thru the store just looking at what they've gotten new. Expect to spend a couple hundred bucks because there's that much in there you're gonna want to buy. The prices for things are great so you really end up getting everything you'll ever want to build anything. Ive been shopping there since 2008 and I don't expect to stop anytime soon!
This is what radio shack used to be in the 1970s. Great place, great prices! The store is family owned and operated. The owners are super religious Christians who blast born again radio throughout the store, but they're friendly, nice, and helpful. They've got great prices on wire and cables. They carry components for building your own hifi speaker systems. Great place! I've been shopping here for years.
I wish I had known about this place years ago. They have all those little electronic parts you always need, and used to go to Radio Shack or Fry's for. Better selection, lower prices, and more pieces in stock. You'll have to keep track of your own prices, since the pieces are often in bulk in a box, but you have so many more options that the extra effort is worth it. I'm going to be going back a lot to this place.
The folks at Tanner are very friendly and helpful. I always enjoy walking through the aisles to explore the thousands of parts they have, it's just fascinating. Don't be afraid to ask for advice for projects big and small. They are there to help!
Not a good place for computer electronics. Layout of the store is very disorganized and confusing. Not all of the video cables are in the same place and they did not have what I needed. I find it ironic that a store with a sign saying "no small children unless supervised" had a child sitting behind the desk by himself. Nobody greeted me when I walked in. I found the background music very unpleasant as well as the signs throughout the store making it very clear that they do not offer refunds, will not allow you to return opened products, and if you return an unopened product, you will be charged a %15 restocking fee. I've worked with computers for long enough to know that sometimes cables just don't work out of the box, as well as some users who are less technical do not know what they need and often buy the wrong thing. I feel bad for them if they make the mistake of shopping here. I'm only giving an extra star because they seem to have some very niche products that are probably hard to find if you are an electrician, which I am not. They also seemed friendly when I spoke with them. For my purposes computer cables, adapters, parts, etc I'll just go to best buy instead.
Friendly helpful staff, products you are not going to find anywhere else. They sell individual electronic components you typically have to purchase in bulk.
