Tanner McBee shares his reptiles with children of all ages. Learn about snakes, turtles, geckos and more with this hands on show.
Tanner McBee has always been fascinated by animals, especially reptiles. At one point, Tanner had over forty box turtles living in his back yard! Today, Tanner has a collection of non-venomous snakes, turtles and geckos.
Tanner participates in the Naturalist Program at Olathe Northwest where he gets to handle creatures large and small. The program allows Tanner to bring an alligator or large tortoise to many of his shows.
Each summer, Tanner spends nearly ten weeks working at the Ecology Lodge at H. Roe Bartle Scout Reservation, where he teaches merit badge classes and works directly with Boy Scouts from ages eleven to eighteen (and their younger siblings on visitor's days).
During the school year, Tanner works with elementary school children at YMCA's After School program.
Being a huge fan of animals with a knack for educating and entertaining kids, Tanner decided to start Tanner's Reptile Show as a way of sharing his collection and raising money for Scouting activities and college.
Please contact him if you'd like Tanner to attend your party or event.
