Tanyard Creek Nature Trail

Oh, WOW! It's like stepping back into what's left of the pure and heavenly Garden of Eden. Tanyard Creek is a hidden hiking gem that's easy to find in Bella Vista, AR - and even easier to hike. You can hike to the waterfall - or better yet, hike "in" Tanyard Creek for one gorgeous cascading fall after another. The stairstep slate rock allows for walking in the creek. Have hiking sandals with good grip and watch your step, or take the main trail for an easy walk. The waterfall at the dam expands into a wider cascading fall that is so beautiful and peaceful. This is a must visit that you can easily follow up with endless nearby shopping and dining options.

We recently had the pleasure of exploring Tanyard creek and the waterfall. It turned out to be an incredible experience for our entire family. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a well-maintained trail system that catered perfectly to our needs. First and foremost, the highlight of this trail was undoubtedly the waterfall. It was nothing short of awesome. What made this trail even more special was the fact that it welcomed our furry friend, our beloved dog. As pet owners, it's always a joy to find trails that accommodate dogs. The trail system itself was exceptionally well-designed, offering a variety of paths and distances suitable for different skill levels and ages. Whether you're a seasoned hiker or simply looking for a leisurely stroll, there's something for everyone here. The well-marked trails ensured that we never felt lost or confused, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the natural beauty surrounding us. We highly recommend visiting this trail to witness the breathtaking beauty and the serene creek, and create unforgettable memories with your loved ones. Dog-friendliness: Our furry friend loved playing in the creek! They have a dog refreshment station at the beginning of the trail.

Tanyard Creek Nature Trail is an easy and beautiful trail for the entire family. The trail offers beautiful scenery and gorgeous views. The waterfall is majestic. Please make sure pack out everything you bring. Sad to see plastic litter stuck between rocks or along the trail This time it was an early afternoon hike for me. Beautiful waterfalls & super easy hike! The area is easy to get to and we’ll maintained as well. We didn’t get in, but there are multiple places you can, so bring a suit if that’s your thing!! Pinion Creek Falls is only 5 minutes away & well worth the drive!

This Beautiful clean park was the Destination area for the weekend. I transcended back into my childhood and explored this park with fresh new eyes, full of wonderment and a renewed interest in the Earth's past...

A delightful stop during our summer road trip! Despite the heat, the short walk to the falls was manageable and the reward was well worth it. The kids thoroughly enjoyed swimming in the falls, making it a refreshing oasis on a hot day. Highly recommend for families passing through Bella Vista, Arkansas.

Beautiful and fun trails with trees, bluffs, creeks springs, etc. The group of volunteers that take care of it clearly put a lot of time and effort into maintaining the trails and descriptive placards. Dog friendly, short and easy trails! The waterfall was awesome!

Stunning, my favorite trail to run in NWA. There is always more wildlife to see and since the waterfall feeds the river, it looks different every time based on recent rainfall. In addition to the nature walk, there are lots of biking trails in the area, but runners are also welcome to use them. I highly recommend visiting!
