Wonderful service; nice people; clean; and quirky two stall restrooms we stopped here late on a Sunday night and they welcomed us with open arms ! Our waitress was phenomenal and added to our Birthday celebration. This is the type of Mexican food that is fresh, authentic, and not commercialized. Nice Intimate setting but they didn’t mind our laughter increased with our margarita consumption. I have to add more- the brisket meat was a surprise to see on the menu and worth the drive from Indy!

Fantastic Mexican food in this little restaurant. The booths and dining furniture have all been updated and the facility looks very clean. The burritos and the desserts are insane good! This restaurant is located in a strip mall that includes a Mexican store and bakery.

Ordered 6 tacos: the beef tripe, beef tongue, and brisket tacos. Food is good. All the meats have their own flavors and textures. Tongue is deep and beefy flavor. Tripe is light and beefy. The brisket is slightly chewy. One side of the restaurant has thumping loud music. The other is quieter. Not a huge fan of super loud music.

This place is fantastic. The absolute best menu with authentic taste. They are super friendly. The service is efficient. I'm telling you though, this is not a white washed Mexican joint. If you want good Mexican though, this is the place. I've been twice and it's 2 for 2 the best Mexican food I've had. I will continue to give this place my business and with pleasure. The enchilada was so good I couldn't get enough. Wheelchair accessibility: Easy, level entry way.

Best margaritas in town! We have been eating here for many, many years. Maria is our favorite server! She always remembers my son's name and asks about him if he's not with me. The chips and queso are also very good, but we always ask for the chips they make that come with the nachos. I've never had a bad meal here - never had to send anything back or complain. Pretty good, especially at this price point. Service is always good/great - whether we have Maria or not. Highly recommend - and we will always be back for those delicious margaritas and some nachos. Kid-friendliness: We have been bringing our kids here for years - ever since my son was three or four. At 16, it's still one of his favorite places. The music is very loud at times, but my kids actually like that.

Incredible service combined with one of the best molés I've had in a long time make Taqueria Mercado a great restaurant to visit in the area. We were already eating our entrees just ten minutes after walking through the door. Everything has a bit more heat to it than most places nearby, but I was never overwhelmed by the spiciness. The burritos are so big that you'll need to unhinge your jaw to get a good bite, which to clarify is a great problem. Seriously though, if you're a fan of molé this place will not disappoint.

The food couldn't be more authentic and the bakery attached to it was mind-blowingly fascinating. All the pastries! What a fun alternative to just donuts. I would recommend these pastries to take in to work instead of donuts next time.Food: 5/5

Very nice people. We got our food fairly quickly. Can't rush quality. The horchata tastes like it was made from scratch and not powder. The large quesadilla with chorizo was huge. It came with beans and just made Mexican red rice. Everything looked good. The atmosphere was nice. I live close by and will make sure to be a regular here.

First time here and we absolutely loved this place! The decor was simply amazing and the food was epic! I ordered the chori Pollo with cheese sauce and it was delicious! My husband ordered the beef chimichanga and it was large and filled with giant pieces of steak! They also sell Mexican Coke in a bottle, which is my favorite drink! If you are every in the area and are hungry, you definitely need to stop here! You want be disappointed!

Authentic, friendly. Everything you’d like to expect from a proper Mexican restaurant. They do not follow the template that many follow to cater to Americans. Beef tongue tacos are my favourite thus far.
