Great Library! I'm a crafter and I need Lots of space and their community space is so large and since no one was there, I had it all to myself! Awesome staff! The next time I'm the area, I'll be back! I'm a Scrapbooking/Cardmaking Instructor at my local libraries. The last pictures are of the slimline cards I made while I was there.
Heads up to those it might impact: according to staff, this library requires proof of property claims within Taylor to access its services mortgage/lease, utility bill in your name, etc. There are apparently no card options for temporary long-term visitors, homeless, or displaced individuals living within the area. While it's certainly understandable that their services are primarily meant for the "taxpayers" that support them, it's still disheartening to hear such an inherently classist policy remains in place, ultimately depriving some of the most vulnerable members of the community access to the knowledge and resources a public library could provide. I assume this is a city policy, so you can't fault the staff and I'm sure many agree with it anyways, but wanted to save some time and embarrassment for anyone that might go there seeking help only to be met with a denial.
This place never ceases to amaze me! They've created a Children's Garden complete with seating for stories! How cool is that! I also learned that they offer a children's sewing class on Thursday evenings! Storytime on Saturdays, free puzzles to keep, AND you can borrow STEM packets! WOW!
Wish I could be here with my kids more! The staff is always helpful and the facilities are always clean. Millions of books and a plethora of other resources for education and entertainment
This is a well organized and well stocked library.  I enjoy going here.  The grounds and interior are kept neat and clean.  There is plenty of parking outside.  It is easy to get into the parking lot.  The staff is professional and earnest in their duties. I had a very nice time here with volunteers recently.  I stopped by to pick up some books to take with me to a community health fair I was attending.  The volunteers were very helpful in getting me to the children’s section, so that, I could pick out age appropriate materials.  They had a wide selection and all in very good shape. This library is a great place to look for a job, study or do interesting things.  They have plenty of items going on for the community as well.
I haven't been to the library in far too long and I truly missed it. They have improved so much. The library is brighter and so much more open and welcoming the staff was amazing upbeat and helpful I didn't take the time I wanted to really look around so I'll have to leave another review when I do so but so far way to go guys I absolutely loved it. So happy to be back IN the library
We had to search and print a document in order to cross back into Canada. Aaron was so helpful and patient and helped us at a very stressful time for us. We cannot thank him enough. The library is so clean and well taken care of inside and out. The community is very fortunate to have such a place for research, education and leisurely reading. Donna & Jeff, Windsor, ON.
The library had some updates. Yayy!!! I don't have to tug hard on the doors to open. They open with the greatest of ease. The lab tech was very helpful with me and patient. I was in and out in a timely manner. Keep up the great work. Maybe the rest of the downriver libraries should follow suit.
The librarians were very nice and helpful. I signed up for library cards online. The process of getting physical cards was quick. We arrived myself and 3 littleswhen they opened and were able to browse the kids section without disturbing anyone else. Once we finished at the library we took a stroll around Heritage Park.
There is lots to do at the library. Books to read there or to check out at no charge, CDs, DVDs, Hotspots even a Tech Kit that you can check out or Computers to use while there. There's a variety of things to do at the library come check it out the library is a fun place to be! You can get any information you need from the library.
