Highly recommend you drive on to the next hospital.. I’ve had 2 family members get sent home only to drive on to Jewish or demand to get out of there and find massive blockages at the Louisville hospital.. this hospital in my opinion is very dangerous. In January I thought I might be having a miscarriage and sat out in an empty er waiting room only to hear girls behind desk laughing, giggling, zero concern. All while saying they had no empty er rooms. After hour wait drove to Lebanon got in with 15 minute wait and had extreme compassion and care.
November 21- November 23, 2022 Thanks to your Business, Billing, and/or Insurance messing up my Dad/Father Insurance Membership Id card number when giving it to a Nursing Home, he lost his last possible chance at being placed in a Nursing Home after the Holidays, and being discharged. Two or three other Nursing Homes refused him/us, and/or turned him/us down. Happy with yourselves? Connie Wright
I was having a heart attack and I was not aware of it. I thought I had stomach problems. You guys found out what the problem was and sent me to Jewish hospital. I am very grateful for all of you from the doctor and the ambulance staff that took me. You helped save my life I am truly grateful may God bless you all thank you
Made my appointment in eastern time, didn’t tell me until the day before the appointment. Ended up not making it, front desk lady was rude to me, and the older man in front of me in line, WHO ALSO wasn’t informed it was in eastern time. Do better.
I have had a very horrible experince at this location, while checking in, I wasn't able to finish my symptoms without being inturrepted and told to take a seat because " there are other people infront of me ". There was a visbily older man in a wheel chair who was clearly in pain, and the nurses just talked to him with straight disrespect because he wasnt able to provide a urine sample. I get being busy and having other patients, but sitting in the waiting room for 3+ hours withouth even getting a wrist band is just a tad bit ridiclous. As coming here before, I was sent back for another 3+ hours without even getting looked at. Staff is very rude, and waiting time is just ridiclous. This is my SECOND time coming to this ER. I simply cannot get over how rude the staff is here.
My experiences have been all positive since the Van service began. Richard and Billy and Larry have always been kind and helpful. I have no vehicle to get to the hospital or doctors there and the gentlemen are always there for me. I have had outpatient surgery and had to use them for a way home and then they made sure I got inside ok. The ER staff is amazing also. Since the pandemic it's been a madhouse and each staff member I encountered was patient and gentle considering the whole situation. Not once did any employee complain or act like they were being put out. Professional and kind are the two words that come to my mind. I'm very grateful for Taylor Regional Hospital and all it's staff. Each is always in my prayers for hedges of protection. Keep up the great work !!! Thank you, Tina Barlow
My husband literally spent 6 hours STILL in the waiting room not even been seen having chest pains a heart attack like pains and they told him sorry about the wait. Another man in a neck brace had a whole wall fall on him and he had been waiting a bit LONGER than my husband. A woman was wait EIGHT HOURS as she struggled to breath. Months ago my 2 year split her head open bleeding every where and we were told to wait SIX hours. While she was actively bleeding screaming and crying the whole time just to tell me there was nothing they could do. This is why people DIE in the waiting room.
This is the very first 5 star review I have ever given a doctor. Susan burress - you are a gift from God himself. I have never been so impressed, so cared for- so heard as a patient, as I did in your care. You are truly an amazing physician and we , as a community, are so blessed to have you. Taylor regional doesn’t realize what they have. They need to step up and do anything it takes to keep you. They need to make you the role model for hiring new doctors. You embody everything a doctor should be! I can’t say thank you enough for your help. I know I’m a very critical patient, but you exceeded everything standard I’ve ever established and you are the very first one. What doctor offers you help after standard hours, what doctor stops to hug a patient???? None. But she did. And it meant the world to me. I will forever remember your care and consideration. The hospital itself. I give a firm 3 stars and that’s being very generous. While I have quiet a few critiques of services and ways to improve.. I want to focus on the one good thing the hospital has going for it. Maybe they can use her to go forward and put together a great team!
I brought a disabled military vet to the ER for possible stroke. The radiologist could not read the CT scan and after waiting six hours for an ambulance to transport him to the VA in Lexington, we left AMA went to the VA where they confirmed he had a stroke within 15 minutes of our arrival and stated had he been there a couple of hours early they could have started the stroke protocol. The doctor at the VA also commented on how I did the right thing by leaving Taylor Regional and getting him to the VA. We won’t even begin to discuss the sign in the ER that says the portable commode buckets are $30 and to wash them and don’t throw them away!! Gross!!!
I have gone to the ER twice over the past few years, once for sawdust in my eye and once for heart palpitations. On both occasions, the ER staff was kind, considerate, and highly competent. The wait to be seen was not excessive. On the first occasion, I did not have health insurance. The billing dept was very helpful and accommodating in working out a payment plan. A couple of weeks ago, I started working at TRH part-time as a health screener. Everyone has been very welcoming and helpful. I enjoy working there very much.
