Otis Taylor grew up around art and artists. His father is a blacksmith and a welder, his mother was a painter and his grandfather was a well renowned painter and wood sculptor. Born and raised in Vermont, Otis has been making wire sculptures for 15 years. When Otis first started out making wire sculpture, he based his work on the early work of Alexander Calder.

After watching documentaries and films on the work of Alexander Calder and learning from his father, he started to make his own creations and experiment with different types of wire. animals, trees and other interesting objects are included in Otis' work.
