Granddaughter's basketball camp game great facility
This place is the Elite of Elites you have things to do for EVERYONE no EXCUSES.
Love working out here. And on a day I don't feel like doing much it's a great place to play some pool and hang out or use the rock climbing wall. So happy I joined.
Parking is atrocious. The rec center is great. Clear bag purse policy in full effect. Concessions are inexpensive. Went there for a volleyball game and had a blast. Good for all ages.
This year they are trying some inefficient corona adaptations. Only 250ish students are allowed in the building however, It's by reservation. The gym is essentially full a week in advanced. They need to do like Walmart and just keep a running total bc when I was there this morning, I took the only reservation and there was maybe 50 people.
It's an awesome gym! It's got weights, indoor track, basketball courts, indoor volleyball, sand volleyball, indoor pool, outdoor pool, wall climbing, racquetball courts, squash court, spin classes, ping pong, game room, and more!
Best deal in the world for alums like me, class of '74 who can join up and use it. Students really use it and appreciate having such a grand place. Superb facility beautifully maintained and operated. A real credit to TCU that reflects its high standards.
This rating is for the outdoor recreation center within the facility. Worst experience renting kayaks from them. My friends car is scratched up because they failed to strap the kayaks properly. It was poorly strapped because they did not have enough actual tiedowns so they used rock climbing rope instead... If you don't have enough equipment to do the job properly then don't rent out the equipment
Great venue for Volleyball! Close quarters with the team and the fans, just wish the sound PA system was better. GO FROGS!
You can get a membership here even if you are not a student! It's the same price as joining a regular gym, but has all the amenities of university pool, racquetball, etc.
