Tea Garden has the best Chinese food in Concord possibly all of New Hampshire!!! Everything is made fresh to order! The staff is very attentive and courteous! The owner and her husband are very nice to talk to and they always remember our names! Definitely our “go to“ for Chinese food!! Dietary restrictions: They were very careful because we had one person in our party who is highly allergic to peppers and they were careful to steer us clear of dishes with peppers and were able to prepare other dishes without contact with peppers.
I have eaten at a lot of Chinese restaurants. I thought the food was good for the price. It was filling and the flavours were there. I had the scezhuan chicken lunch special. Overall, I thought the establishment was average. It was exactly what one may expect when they imagine an American Chinese restaurant you can eat in at. My biggest compliment would be the pricing. On the other hand, nothing stood out. It was not exceptional.
My wife and I have dined and done take-out at this establishment since 1990. Our order has generally been the same for decades. Tonight, four of us nearly ate the entire order. Their portions have shrunk to the point that we may look elsewhere when ordering take-out. An order from this restaurant generally meant left overs for several days, it will be gone tomorrow. For g__ sakes, raise your prices but don't cut your portion sizes! Your containers have shrunk, do the math!
Strong classic american chinese cuisine. Nothing exotic, but the staples you're looking for are here. Flavors are stronger, less bland than others, providing a better meal enjoyment. Portion sizes suffer a little due to inflation 2023. Soups are perfect on a cold rainy day, or when you're fighting a bug. The dining room is a little dated, but clean. Parking is not obvious, but is available behind the building. I will definitely visit again.
Food is great, drinks are great, this is our second time.Food: 5/5
I ended up ordering a second helping of General Tao’s because it was so good! Apparently it’s under new ownership and they have made some tweaks in the menu and in the kitchen. We will definitely be back soon! The service was wonderful too, plus they had two tvs in the bar and I got to watch hgtv and my husband watched some kind of sports game.
Don't order the curry chicken.. you get peas and onions soup with a few pieces of chicken thrown in. I love curry. This was so disappointing.Food: 1/5
Nice outdoor dinning. The food was good with large portions, the staff pleasant and the pricing very reasonable. We ate outside as I don’t believe eating inside anywhere is a good idea currently. The inside is definitely in need of renovation but has that local tavern “where everybody knows your name vibe” reminiscent of your local legion or moose club.
There was metal shavings chore boy in my mothers lunch speicial. If she would of ate that something very bad would of happend. They did not even offer more food or offer any type of gesture to make for that meal. Very bad ownership lost customers for life. Owner /Manager acted like she did not even care. i can only imagine what they lets slide in that kitchen for a peice of chore boy to get in the chicken
Very sweet sauce but delicious food. Staff is really friendly and attentive as well.
