The residency is a full-time, year-long immersion program leading to a Master of Arts in Teaching degree and elementary teacher certification in first through sixth grade.
The collaboration between Gordon School and Roger Williams University brings to Rhode Island a singular opportunity for aspiring teachers to develop their knowledge, skills, and philosophy of pedagogy to teach through a year-long immersion experience at Gordon. Residents will experience this program as a seamless integration of coursework and practical experience. The program is at its core, multicultural, collaborative and inquiry-based.
