SMALL BEGINNINGS
After giving birth to 3 boys, my world has been nothing but legos, cars, broken bones and skinned up knees. I thought for sure I was destined to be a boys mom and that was that. When we discovered we were pregnant again, I was confident that my body only produced boys and my odds for a girl were 1 in 1000! Over Christmas, my sister in law came to me and said she had a dream that we were having a girl and her name was Teagan! I partially thought she was crazy but I LOVED the name and promised that if I had a girl, her name would be Teagan for sure! At my 18 week ultrasound, (after a good long hard look by the tech to confirm and re-confirm), she confirmed GIRL!!! The excitement of finally getting a girl completely overtook me and I immediately started making Teagan her first Tutu's. One for pretty much every occasion including fishing with daddy! As I started posting the pictures of her tutus, people started asking me if I would sell them and before I knew it, Teagan's Tutus was created!
OUR DIFFERENCE
When making the decision to expand what was just my daughters tutu fun into a business, I really prayed about what my true goal was with my business. Sure it's fun to make adorable tutus for little girls to run around in, but what real impact can I have on our future generation? Then God revealed to me that I get this amazing opportunity while making each and every tutu to pray over the little girl who will receive it. So I pray protection, strength, courage, wisdom, self worth over her future. I also sew into the waistband a personalized scripture, not to be seen, but for her to wear the word of God around her waste as she twirls her heart out.
