Went to tease for a hair appointment today after having braids throughout most of the pandemic. I absolutely loved it. My stylist Meshia is a hair genius. She was friendly, thoughtful, and experienced. The space was clean and the staff members were endearing. I absolutely loved my hair and left feeling a level of freshness and confidence I haven't seen in a while. Definetly will be going back to Tease and Meshia. Loved it!Service: Hair extensions
Woman complex 2022 I went to this salon The Dominican stylist asked was I Spanish and looked @ me strangely mean mugging, other stylists kept looking at me sideways. I tip the Dominican lady good and she talked trash about me that did my hair she didn't want to give me a trim and kept trying to force me to get my hair flat iron which idont use in my hair im too natural for that. blow dryers are the devil and that's what broke my hair off ,thinking I could get some hair help from this salon, NEVER WILL I Again. EMPLOYESS AT TEASE HAVE A COMPLEX AND THE STYLISTS AT THE NEAR WINDOW BOTH WAS TALKING ABOUT ME TO HER CLIENTS. GREAT TO HAVE A BODY CAM ON YOU EVERYWHERE YOU GO. FEMALES THESE DAYS ARE SO JEALOUS. ALL MYLIFE WOMEN DO ME WRONG NO SISTERLY LOVE CANT TRUST ANY ONE. Now I goto Natural Salon where people of my hair Caliber understands and treat me NATURAL! These ladies @ tease wear make up etc this day and time folks try to be in the incrowd. When you are old act your age. Know I standout no need to complex
Bad with natural hair, they will rip out your hair. I would not recommend you go if you have 4b/4c hair.
I have been going to Tease for years now. The salon is professional, clean and well-run. The owner, Ms. Ula Somwaru, has been in business for more than 30 years, which says a lot! Clients are treated with a high level of respect, better than most hair salons I have tried. Jen, my stylist, takes great of her clients. I am seen on time, and get what I need. I did some research and found tease hair salon. After 2 years of going to multiple hair stylists in the DMV….I finally found the real deal! Tease’s professionalism, customer service, vibe and services are phenomenal! Kia my stylist rescued me above and beyond! I came to her with a mess on my head and she took me in as a customer with ease and left me leaving the salon looking a million bucks when I came in looking about 2 bucks with the damage of the previous experiences elsewhere! I had the worst experience at this salon. There is a Haitian hairstylist who, with all do respect, should not work there. I paid 500 dollars to get my hair completely pulverized. It took me a whole year to recover from the damage she inflicted to my hair!
I called today to try and schedule an appointment to get my hair done. The lady that initially answered the phone was fine. I heard her say Jamila, and I assume she asked her if she could take me. Jamila comes to the phone doesn’t introduce herself, she just asked me “who am I speaking to?” In a very rude tone. I felt like I was taking up too much of her time and she just didn’t have time for this. Lol , customer service is really a lost art nowadays. If you think that I’m going to spend my hard earned money at a place that doesn’t even know how to speak to me on the phone you must have lost your mind! Definitely would not recommend.
The ladies there put some real team work together to help fit in weave installation for my birthday. They blow dried, braided, installed, styled and cut in 2hr and 45 min! I have a small head but they are efficient! Kind and friendly and reasonable. My hair was Layed! I just wanted to say thank you so much! And you have a new client! Also Wash and Blow dry is included in the price ladies! They are a real service salon. We all know it's hard to find that these days!
So far I've gone a few times an each time I left my hair was fabulous. The shop is pleasant ans usually whenever a client walks in they are greeted or knowledge by a staff member. The shop is clean and orderly. The owner, Ula sells weave hair and it is by far the best hair I have used. The quality is well worth the trip. My stylist Jen is remarkable. I've sent some of my friends and were extremely happy with the results. I highly recommend Tease for the hair and Jen the stylist.
This is my 2nd time going to Tease.The 1st time was around was maybe 3 years ago. I was referred by a friend CeeCee I was satisfied with my silk press and trim then and I was satisfied and Happy with My stylist the other day...It only lasted 2 days but I already knew that!!
