Brooklyn Tech's very own Table Tennis Club.
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY! (Since most people didn't read the contract that was handed out during club >:( ). We reserve the right to expel any disruptive club members.
MANDATORY FOR CLUB CREDIT!
- In the spring, the table tennis club holds an annual tournament to determine the best of the best. IT IS MANDATORY FOR ALL CLUB MEMBERS TO PAY FOR THIS TOURNAMENT AND PARTICIPATE. The entry fee is $3 per person. You do not have to win to receive credit. IF YOU DO NOT PAY YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE ANY CREDIT EVEN IF YOU WERE AT CLUB EVERY SINGLE DAY.
RULES OF BEING ON A TABLE:
1. If you are waiting to play on a table, call “next last” and wait patiently until it is your turn to play. If you feel as if the players on the table you have been waiting on are playing too long, simply tell a club officer and we will take care of business.
2. If you are playing on a table, each player is permitted 4 minutes of warm-up time (practice) and then they must begin a game. Only one 11-point game is permitted per table (for more information on games, ask officers). When the game is finished rotate with whoever is waiting.
3. Do not throw paddles, bang things into the table or damage club equipment. Also do not play with the equipment anywhere else besides the table tennis table. Anyone caught doing so will be asked to relinquish their equipment. Club deduction or expulsion is possible
4. DO NOT WAIT TO PLAY ON A TABLE NEAR IT. SIMPLY PUT A LUNCHROOM TABLE DOWN AND WAIT PATIENTLY THERE OR SIT ON THE FLOOR FAR AWAY FROM WHERE PEOPLE ARE PLAYING.
5. THE TWO TABLES CLOSEST TO THE CENTER-EAST STAIRCASE ARE RESERVED FOR "TEAM MEMBERS" ONLY SO THEY MAY PRACTICE. [SUBJECT TO CHANGE].

- Currently Brooklyn Technical High School’s table tennis team is number one in New York City. The team is for players who have shown outstanding performance in the club, showing talent and dedication to the sport, and we are always looking for new recruits. If you are passionate about the sport and would like experience competing on a larger scale outside of school, you are encouraged to request to join. Currently there are 6 members on the team.
