An open, collaborative group for people interested in game development and interactive art. We run a co-working space and hold weekly meetings in Troy, NY.
Tech Valley Game Space is an active community of game makers that gathers on a weekly basis in Troy, NY to socialize, work together on group projects, and to coordinate hosting of monthly events such as presentations, classes, workshops, exhibitions of locally created games and playtesting sessions of work in progress. Participants of all backgrounds and skill levels are welcome and encouraged to attend.
In addition to our weekly meetings, we also run a full time co-working location for game developers at 30 3rd Street in Troy. This location is designed to function as a vibrant and accessible studio space for independent and hobbyist game developers, as well as anyone with an interest in creating interactive art. We strive to foster an atmosphere that encourages group projects and cross-disciplinary experimentation, with a mixture of programmers, designers, artists, musicians and writers all working together in close proximity.
The TVGS co-working studio is an open, inclusive and safe working environment – whether you are looking for a place to meet potential collaborators, or just in need a change of scenery, you're welcome to visit us at any time in order to try out the co-working studio for yourself. However, we do advise that you call ahead to ensure that someone will be at the studio to let you in when you arrive.
Should you like the co-working studio enough that you wish to use it on a regular basis, you can obtain full, 24/7 access for just $50 per month.
