This restaurant was recommended by a local. The food was not good and without flavor. Mexican food is filled with spices and is not difficult to prepare! We both ordered grilled fish tacos, but there was hardly any fish on our plates! Maybe a tablespoon per tortilla! The slaw that accompanied the dish was flavorless. I had black beans and they were fine. There is nothing at this restaurant that would make me return.
The 2 stars is only for the great service we received even though she said she would give us a discount and didn’t. The service isn’t the issue here the food is. Just look at how pitiful my fish taco is! And they charge $17 for it. Like let’s be real this fish is out right offensively small it’s like you were asking for an issue. Like NO! We spent $150 there including tip and we tip well! The picture tells the story tho!
Great atmosphere and employees! A special thank you to the manager who assisted my auntie from New York to order me a cake for my birthday. You made it extra special!Food: 4/5
I have a new favorite Mexican restaurant! I came here on a recommendation of a friend and was quite happy to see they had a large selection of foods for vegetarians. I had a hard time choosing what I wanted because there were so many good choices. I will absolutely be back here again. They have free fresh made tortillas, chips and salsa and cheese, and a free dessert.
So I had a take out order and this was my first time eating here. The service was phenomenal, the gentleman that helped me explained everything well and even helped with substitutions. Only reason it is a 4 out of 5 is some menu items are too expensive. My wife is a vegetarian and got a bean and cheese burrito that came with a side of rice and beans, that was 16 dollars. The size and ingredients didn't make it worth it. However, on the flip side I got the nachos appetizer as my meal and wow was that a lot of food for also 16 dollars. Last thing is Ted's needs to understand that Carne asada fries NEED beans and guacamole. If you have the extra cash definitely go in and dine-in the staff will make it worth it! Vegetarian options: A lot of vegetarian options but they don't balance the price for the lack of protein. That is disappointing.
Teds is simply amazingly great food. The atmosphere is very good too. A+Food: 5/5
Edit: Raised to 3-Stars after owner response. I appreciate the desire to get it right, the service industry can be challenging. Thanks! Stuffed avocado as dry as bone. The fajita chicken was..diced? It’s supposed to be strips. Either way it was Insanely dry and flavorless. Shredded beef burrito was also fatty cubed beef… that is not shredded beef and not good. I was surprised there was no wait, but we found out why after eating. Won’t be back sadly, because I love Ted’s.
Found a piece of hard plastic in my pork taco, I ordered the escandito especial- when the other plate came out food was cold & bland. Mgr offered to have meal remade, nah I'm good. She did comp 2 of our meals- order still came to $33.62. This is my first time eating here in years & I won't be back. The patron sitting next table over sent her food back as well. I'm sharing pictures so you can decide for yourself. Very nice waitress - Sara. That's the only thing good I hv to say about this experience. Very disappointed & let down. The "side" as you can see was about 4 carrot slivers & burnt broccoli for an extra .99. My only suggestion is check ur temps etc& if you wouldn't eat it urself don't serve it.
Started off a little slow since we were a group of 30+ but it takes a while to fill that many drink orders.... The wait staff handled our group like total pros. The food was hot, fresh, and full of flavor. And the environment was accommodating. We'll be back!Food: 5/5
The queso is very good here. The normal salsa is ok but sometimes comes out muted. The spicy salsa is very good. Overall they are an above average family Mexican restaurant. Their alcoholic beverages are REALLY strong some evenings, so take some caution. Kid-friendliness: Booster seats and family friendly environment. Dietary restrictions: Good about these. Sometimes when I ask for diet coke, because I have had prediabetes, at other places they will bring me normal coke and I have to exchange it, but I haven't had to do that here yet.
