For over 40 years we have been a small, family-owned business that specializes in the sale and installation of all types of flooring, including hardwoods, laminates, tiles, carpets, and luxury vinyl tiles. We have been serving the greater Dallas area from the same Sachse, Texas location since 1976.

I would give Ted and his staff 18 bajillion stars if Google would let me! We had carpet removed from three bedrooms and an office, and older wood flooring from our living and dining area. We replaced with scratch- and stain-resistant wood look. They managed our entire project seamlessly. Tom helped us choose the best flooring for our needs. No upselling here. They don't try to sell you the very best; they sell you the best for you. Our material was delivered promptly. The installers who are Ted's employees - he doesn't sub out! were very capable, fast and respectful. We couldn't be happier with our new floors. 13/10 would recommend!
I cannot say enough amazing things about Ted's Floor & Decor! I shopped around for a month looking for flooring. I was doing my entire home, so I had a giant job to get done. I priced everyone in the Sachse and Wylie area, and Ted's was able to give me the best price. Homero helped me pick the perfect floor! He was so knowledgeable, honest, and kind! He showed me a ton of options to pick from. Within about a week, the floors had been delivered and the crew started working. Both the guys on crew were so incredibly nice. Within 5 days they had my floors completely done and everything was moved back into place. I have never had a job as large as this go so smoothly. Afterwards, Homero came by to check the work and make sure I was happy. I told him I couldn't possibly be happier; the floors are unbelievably perfect! Without question, if you have flooring needs, Ted's is the way to go!
We worked with Tom who was very knowledgeable & professional. Javier & the 2 Jose' that installed our floors were also very professional and prompt. They completed the job much sooner than expected. We are very pleased with our new floors and with the service provided. We will definitely use them again for any future projects.
Had vinyl plank laid in a large bedroom and some of the carpet from that room moved to replace carpet in a small bedroom. The guys showed up on time and worked all day. They were friendly, respectful, and worked well together. Left the place cleaner than they found it. Awesome!
My husband and I are SO VERY HAPPY with the wood-looking porcelain tile put on our back porch by José and Javier from Ted’s Floor and Decor! This project was a challenge BECAUSE we had originally chosen a work crew from a different company, who started the job and quickly proved they did NOT know how to properly lay tile. In short, it was awful and my husband had to fire them. After looking at other companies, we found Ted’s Floor and Decor. Their representative, Homero, came to our home and assessed what needed to be done — to clean up the mess made by the other company — and to finish the job. We chose to go with Ted’s, and are so grateful we did! José and Javier were very skillful and meticulous in their work; they cleaned up everything after each day’s work, and finished out the tile beautifully on the second day! Homero, José and Javier were all very professional and easy to work with. Thank you, THANK YOU, Ted’s Floor and Decor, for turning around a bad experience and providing us with a lovely back porch that we plan to enjoy for many years! We look forward to recommending you to all of our friends and neighbors!!
Unfortunately we had to have our floors replaced due to unforeseen circumstances. BUT, let me tell you about Ted’s Floors, and more importantly Homer. From start to finish he was absolutely amazing to work with. I’ve dealt with many businesses over the years and I’ve yet to come across someone who is truly 100% focused on the customer. Homer treated us and our home as it was his own. We could have put floors in weeks ago, but Homer kept telling us to wait to ensure it was the optimal time. My wife and I 100% recommend Ted’s to anyone who needs flooring work. They did an amazing job and didn’t break the bank either. Thank you Ted’s and more importantly Homer!!!
Really great overall experience from the sale through installation. Homer,Jose and Ted all great people to work with. Their pricing was competitive and it included floor prep which you will always need when installing hard surface. We had 1500 square feet of LVP and 1300 square feet of carpet installed. All rooms had new baseboards installed. The products we chose all seem great and have great reviews. I highly recommend Ted's to anyone looking for flooring. We shopped around hard including the big box stores. It's refreshing working with an independent company you can trust.
Had such a great experience with this company! Our salesman Homero was extremely helpful and patient with our flooring decision. The installation crew was on time, professional, friendly and did a fantastic job! In a world where customer service doesn't seem to be a priority anymore, it was so refreshing to work with this company. I would highly recommend Ted's if you need any flooring work done!
Ted's Floor and Decor did a wonderful job on our downstairs flooring. Homera Rocha took his time with me in showing me my options and was very knowledgeable. The John and the installation crew were excellent installing, very professional and friendly. I'm so glad I went with a local company. They will be our go to for any future flooring needs!
We had Homer bring out samples and discuss with us the options for a vinyl/laminate floor for the living room, dining room and kitchen. Homer was knowledgeable and helpful. He was able to answer all of our questions. We chose SPC flooring. Our install was completed about 1 1/2 weeks after that meeting and this was the week before CHRISTmas!. The installers were fast, courteous, professional and knowledgeable. They completed the install in a day and a half with minimal interference with our household. They helped us out with several things related to the furniture not their purview. Overall the job was done quickly and professionally and looks great.
