Alpine Lodging manages lots of properties in Telluride in all price ranges, from some of the most reasonably priced to the "price is no object" suites. Easy to book on line, reasonable fees, helpful and friendly management, well maintained properties. I will definitely use Alpine Lodging for future trips to Telluride.
We booked a unit at Viking lodge through alpine lodging for two reason: location and pool/hot tub. The unit itself was lovely. We found out randomly the day before travel that the pool and hot tub were broken when I showed the photos of the unit to my husband. We reached out to alpine lodging to see if it would be fixed and it not could they offer some compensation. We were told hot tubs in mountain locations were quite difficult to maintain and they were sorry but nothing could be done. We asked for the manager to reach out and never heard from the manager. If the advertised amenities are not operable should come compensation not be provided? Even if it’s just a bottle of wine? We will not use alpine lodging for our next visit to telluride.
This is the second time we have booked with this company and we could not be happier. They were incredibly responsive to all our needs from an additional frying pan to helping with noisy neighbors. Our condo was well stocked and comfortable. In the past, when we have booked through other companies, especially those who are not located in town, we did not get the personal service Alpine Lodging Telluride provided - thank you - we will definitely be back!
My children and I stayed at with this establishment summer 2014 for a little over a week. My son's fold out bed blocked our way to the bathroom. The room was small and cramped. On day 2 & 3 there was no breakfast. The cream cheese we found in the frig was moldy. We dined out. On day 4 they restocked the common area kitchen--finally! Then the code on our door was changed with no notification. This was done after hours and the emergency contact number posted not in the hotel but in the office downtown did not answer. I ended up leaving my children downtown as I, by now in a full panic, started running around town and calling *other* hotels hoping someone could help me. I had visions of sleeping that night in the car. After two hours a clerk at a neighboring establishment gave me the number of another emergency desk clerk. Turns out, she was dealing with an emergency at another location and could not answer my initial phone calls. The establishment doesn't hire enough people. They also don't clean unless you put in a request--which we did but the cleaners didn't show up. Looking back, I should have just ate the expense, booked elsewhere and moved mid-week. I asked my children if we should move and they were reluctant, so I didn't. They refunded me one night's stay and I had to fight for that. I would never in a thousand lives return to that place. What a nightmare.
Great location, but the actual rooms definitely need upgrades and are extremely minimalistic. ie. The King Bed was two twin beds, that were two different mattresses, making for an uncomfortable sleep. Also, the place recently changed its policy that all dogs must be kept with the owners at all times; however this was not listed on the rental property, on the website, nor were we notified when we called to say we were bringing our dog. Therefore, when we arrived and were told of this policy change, we had to scramble and try and get a dog sitter, so we could actually enjoy our stay. One of the front-desk staff was also rude from check in to check out. Therefore, although the location is great, we will not be staying at this location again.
Rented this home through Air BNB for Sept. 2019 to celebrate our daughter's 30th birthday with family & friends. There ended up being just 7 of us but could have accommodated 10-12 easily. Loved that each bedroom had its own bath with a half bath on the main living area. This was a great house to be in & the fall colors & the views were simply amazing. Short drive into town for shopping & eating. The check in process was so simple - we were given the code to the front door & garage & didn't need to go to the Alpine Lodging. Everything worked!!! The kitchen was stocked with enough basics for us to cook a few meals. It is located in Mountain Village on Russell Dr & the house is just a few feet from the road pictures are deceiving which can be a little busy at times and there is a private road behind the house with a house on it but never really felt any invasion of privacy. We really enjoyed the house & would definitely rent it again!!!!!
We have stayed in two different properties managed by Telluride Alpine Lodging over a five year period and had wonderful experiences at both. The accommodations are beautifully furnished with great amenities. In addition to the beautiful scenery and central location, the staff members and their individualized customer service are what really earn Telluride Alpine Lodging an outstanding rating. Came to Telluride to visit friends and do so some skiing. Wow! What an awesome experience. The town is amazing. Alpine Lodging made it so easy to get an accommodation... the site worked great. I was able to compare all available housing, check prices and amenities of each, location of each, and choose the best for me! Easy process and took no time. THANKS!
