Filmmakers and Musicians from across America and around the globe come to Temecula every September since 1995 to participate and enjoy in the celebration of the two most influential, most enduring, most entertaining art forms and commerce of: FILM AND MUSIC.
Attendance has grown from 600 in 1995 to over 18,000 in 2011. Media coverage is extensive and global. Over 1,200 films screened from more than 20 countries since 1995. Over 300 filmmakers, musicians, producers, directors, writers, composers, arrangers, agents, publicists, cast and crew participated in the 2011 festivities.
The Temecula Valley International Film & Music Festival (TVIFF) is back, bringing the coolest films and hottest music from filmmakers and musical artists from all across the United States and around the globe. The festival is set to run September 17-21, 2014.
The Temecula Valley International Film & Music Festival has remained a true advocate and accessible home for independent film and music artists for 17 years. It has built a genuine networking hub for them to mingle, network, party and do business. Filmmakers and music artists appreciate TVIFF's open approach of not catering to one particular genre. Films that tell a good story and music that tiugs at the heart of audience -are all welcome.
The film component of the festival is open to U.S. and foreign films in five categories: Narrative features, shorts, documentaries, animation and student films. For 2014, to be eligible, a film entry must have been completed in 2012, 2013 or 2014.
The music component welcomes entries from all genres of music, from rock to pop, folk to jazz to reggae. Unlike previous years, winners will be awarded cash prizes
at 2014 Temecula Valley International Film & Music Festival.
TVIFF has had the privilege of honoring film and music icons as legendary Ray Charles, Earth Wind & Fire, Smokey Robinson, Etta James, Kenny Loggins, maverick founders of Withoutabox.com, Slamdance, the visionaries of Technicolor; UCLA, USC film schools; actors William Shatner, Dennis Haysbert, Hector Elizondo, Martin Sheen, Mary Steenburgen, Michael Madsen, Carl Reiner; Virginia Madsen; directors Peter Bogdanovich, Andy Fickman, Jonathan Lynn; film composers Lalo Schifrin, Trevor Rabin, John Ottman, John Debney, to name a few.
The festival's calendar of events starts with Opening Night festivities, followed by daily and nightly screenings, networking parties, an industry marketplace, a consumer artisan collective, industry panels and workshops, a star studded Black Tie Awards Gala, and much more.
