The location to trails is wonderful but that is where it ends. The place is a mess. We could not sit on the picnic tables for fear of splinters. We would have felt better if some looked ok figuring it was something that they were working on to improve. Not one table in the area was inhabitable. They say they have Internet, then they told us it it sketchy at best. We were told it “works best by the restrooms.” Really?i had work to do. The weeds were awful so actually did not want to sit out and look at the picture of the tree in the volleyball court Rumor was that the laundry facility does not work We left a day early. Never again. We will dry camp in f we ever come up here again.
If you are into "Dilapidated Americana," this resort is for you. I got a walk-in spot for the Ed "Big Daddy" Roth Car Show and Reunion, and wondered why there were so many open spots. After two nights, I understood. The campground is a shell of its former days. The buildings are run down, the pool is closed, and the bathrooms are an absolute horror show. The showers are infested with black mold and the toilets were plugged and overflowing with unspeakable contents. I have never felt more fortunate to have a working toilet in my RV. Quiet hour is posted, but not enforced. Fire rings are shared, so hope you get good neighbors. I would say that if I was in the $20 to $30 range, I would be satisfied; however, $173.51 for two nights reinforces lazy management. Unless you are in desperate need of a fully dressed set to film a teenage slasher movie, keep driving. There are better places for your money. I will say that the only thing going for this campground is the location. It is North of the temple, with a nice view, and centrally located in Manti. Nearby activities: Ed "Big Daddy" Roth Museum and car show.
I pitched a tent so base my review off that but if you are tenting it make sure to bring ear plugs. The road is loud and it kept me up all night. Also with the office closing at 7 pm there is no enforcement of any type of quiet hours. People were up all night playing music and being loud. The trailers are packed in like sardines so if your neighbors are loud you will hear it. I arrived after 7 pm and it was difficult to find my spot so I just threw down where I wanted. I would return but now I know the situation.
THIS IS A RV CAMPGROUND, SO IT DOESN'T HAVE ROOMS, Google! Convienient location, but a bit of a cramped layout. Only a few pull thru sites for large RVs, the rest are back ins. Nice grounds, a play area and a small pool. Laundry on site. Rooms: It has NO ROOMS, IT IS A CAMPGROUND! How stupid is Google actually? Safety: Seems very safe. It is off the main road by about 1/4 mile, so kids using the playgrounds and picnic area ought to be relatively safe Walkability: Not within easy walking distance anything, but the Manti LDS Temple.
The only nice here is a very kind teenager at the front desk. This is a place with "0" maintenance, restroom in very bad conditions and the pool was closed, sorry but I'll never come back to this place.
Upon a last minute arrival, the camp owners were extremely accommodating and very nice. Once set up rooftop tent the owner came by to check on us and stayed to chat for 15-20 mins. This is likely a one stop occasion for us, but if we’re ever back in the area, we will definitely stay again! Thanks for your hospitality!
Being a visitor over pageant years through 4 owners has been tough on this once prestigious Jellystone Park with Yogi and Boo boo running around playing with kids once or twice daily to a nickel cade video game room pavilion to a new pool and hot tub to hay rides by tractor to the pageant and $3.00 all you can eat breakfast the morning after pageant!!! Rent bikes of all sorts walk up trails for beautiful Temple views to see, take pictures or even paint!!! I adored this place, it's gone down hill over the years. The pool was open a few hours one day. All that was once so special about the campground is basically a shell of it's former greatness. The Playground is old school AWESOME!!! It needs some fresh paint!!! That mural behind it needs a touch up! Bring your chairs to the playground and love watching your kids or grandchildren play! well worth it! Bring a drink they're closing up the store!!!??? On good days call first to see if the pool will be open before you walk up to it. Great Peple own it, Pageant being gone has definitely hurt them!!! It's also destroyed Miller's, you know the ice cream and donuts they were once famous for??? Gone!!! I wonder if the full economic loss to pageant towns were fully considered first? I don't know how it benefitted but, Some day I hope to figure it out?
Was not thrilled with our stay. When we arrived we were met by the female owner who was short with us. We had arrived a bit early and there was no one in our spot. She would not let us pull in. She seemed like she really did not even want to be there. Her husband helped us get situated and was very helpful. Our spot was ok, but not great. We did not spend much time there as we were there for the Manti Jamboree. As this is pretty much the only game in town it is what it is. Too bad really. With a little courtesy and cleanup it could be a nice place to stay.
By far the worst run and rundown rv park I have yet to stay in. There is no internet that actually works, the sites are not maintained and there are holes around every corner which makes getting in and out with a camper extremely difficult. There are additional charges for “guests” meaning if anyone comes and visits you they are charged a fee. There are weeds everywhere and no grassy areas. The woman who owns/runs the park is rude and shows no interest in being helpful at all.
This place is a dump! Upon arrival only 1/2 hour early, the lady didn't want to check me in, although there were only FOUR RVs in the entire campground. One bathroom building was closed because of frozen pipes. It's summer now, and the pipes should be fixed so guests can use the bathroom. Laundry room was closed. Horseshoe pits and sand volleyball courts do not exist as shown on map. It is all weeds. So disappointed that this is where we booked our vacation. It's so bad. We didn't even stay for our whole reservation.
