Temple Shalom is a warm and welcoming fully egalitarian community whose diverse members come together to celebrate all that Judaism has to offer. By learning, praying, and celebrating together we have built a community that has been around for over 60 years. And while we still keep the traditions that helped build and sustain the Jewish community in Medford, we have embraced new traditions, so that we can fulfill the needs of not only our members who founded this Synagogue, but also our newer members who will help keep the Jewish community alive for the next 60 years. Temple Shalom is a progressive, egalitarian Conservative community that celebrates the richness of Jewish tradition and embraces the diversity of backgrounds, experiences and ideas of our members in order to provide a personally meaningful and relevant Jewish experience. Our members’ lives are enriched through participation in our vibrant, warm and inclusive Jewish kehilah [congregation], where passion for praying, playing, learning, and tikkun olam [social action] are fulfilled in the most satisfying way -- b'yachad [together] -- side by side -- as part of an intimate and supportive Jewish community that feels like family, and shares in each other’s life events.
