Terri Moore, a resident of Fort Worth, Texas is a veteran trial lawyer with 14 years of experience at the state level as a prosecutor, over four years experience as a federal prosecutor—where she tried the largest child internet pornography case in U.S. history—and seven years experience as a criminal defense attorney. She is board certified in criminal law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
From 2007 to July 2011, Moore was the First Assistant District Attorney for Dallas County, Texas. As such, she was responsible for supervising over 400 employees. Moore was the driving force in establishing the Conviction Integrity Unit (CIU), which has made a significant impact on the criminal justice system. The CIU uses DNA evidence to exonerate those wrongfully convicted of crimes, and further investigates questionable convictions that lack DNA evidence.
