Tess Home is a nice find in the heart of Point Pleasant Beach. Beautiful Women’s Clothing , Accessories and Gifts .. Something different and Unique in each room . This shop has a little something for everyone. I was inspired by the home decor and unique antique painted furnishings, we enjoy shopping at Tess Home ..
Two strikes for the owner and not giving her a chance for three.. Two weeks ago my husband and I were purchasing a keychain as a small quick gift after a long day of Christmas shopping. When the owner rang us up we gave her our credit card as she replied, “you really don’t have cash?” My husband replied, “actually I don’t but who carries cash anymore?” to which she very rudely said, “people who only have $12.95 to spend”. WOW, ok we let it go being that it was Christmas and there are a lot bigger problems in the world and do respect small business owners. Today I was in town with my daughters enjoying some of the shops and decided to go into Tess again. I found an adorable ceramic pig that was priced at $16.00. When a very nice woman rang me up it was not giving her the correct item in their register. The same owner looked over her shoulder and told her which item it was and said it was $28.00. I interjected nicely and said that was not correct and that it was $16.00 as marked. She looked at me, smiled and peeled the tag off of the item as she laughed saying, “no it’s not”. She walked away and left her employee standing at the register who was embarrassed by the owner’s behavior. I walked over to the owner and quietly asked if she would honor the price that was on the item and she said, “absolutely not, it was tagged wrong and I’m not going to give it away.” I then asked, “is that my fault?” which she very curtly replied, “no and it’s not mine either but hey, accidents happen.” The only accident here was my mistake of going back in after the first incident. Sometimes giving someone a second chance is like handing them another bullet because they missed you the first time. Very, very foolish and unprofessional on her part. Perhaps it’s time to pack it in?
What a cool store! I made a mess of trying to whitewash a stone fireplace, and the women at Tess Home offered a suggestion that worked perfectly. Very pretty shabby chic furniture and great boho clothing and accessories. Thanks Colleen and Pam.
Wonderful store! I can always find unique quality items for myself and as gifts. An inspiring fun assortment that has everything from clothing to amazing vintage furniture....one of my favorite stores!!!! A must see shop
Such a unique shopping experience. It’s like shopping in a museum with collectibles and unique items in every nook. The best place to buy a gift that someone will adore or get yourself something comfortable and compliment worthy! And you are supporting a local business!
When you love the special women in your life and need that something special gift your search is over. Even if you are clueless the owner Pamela Thomas has got your back. Her talent will amaze you when you see her hand finished furniture.
I love the comfortable, cozy vibe at Tess Home.The staff is friendly and helpful, and I always find unusual painted vintage and antique furniture, home decor, women’s clothing, jewelry and gift items. There’s something for everyone!
If you are in the area you must stop by at Tess Home and see all the beautiful and unique finds they have! I always love going in and finding something different. The owner and the staff are so friendly and very helpful!
The display work at is unbelievable. Every time I walk in, I get so many ideas. They have such a great eye for it and the antique items are fabulous. She brings old pieces back to life.
As a 21 year old coming from a family with a business background, the owner’s behaviors reflected the store’s environment & herself as a person. The store owner was VERY rude & unprofessional. Certainly not how you run a business nor treat your customers. Lost any sales from my family & I the day were in the store & in the future!
