TetonSkye Designs officially launched in January 2015 with little more than a dream. We named the business with the word Teton because it represents the Lakota (Sioux) Nation. Our co-owner, Kacie is part of this band of people. The word Teton means “dwellers of the prairie” and is the westernmost Lakota division. The word Skye represents the painted skies of the western and southwestern areas.
Because the designs we capture are both from the plains of the Dakotas and the desert canyons of the southwest, we describe TetonSkye Designs as a boutique “where the plains meet the southwest.”
TetonSkye seeks to create a complete look with clothing, jewelry, handbags and other accessories. We make much of the jewelry with natural gemstones to create pieces that stand the test of time.
