Staff was very friendly. Park was very clean. Even with the temporary closure of part of the trails it was a perfect morning for a short family hike. Definitely will be coming back, we had such a great time!
Amazing Park, great price and even better park. Has tons to do, Disc golf, mini golf, fishing, swimming, paintball, Pokémon, volleyball, basketball, trails, and more!!! Great staff as well!!! Friends used cabins as well and they are awesome!!! hey were super clean as is the whole park. Hookups were in great repair. Bathrooms are clean, and in good repair. Killer water pressure.
We always enjoy our time at Texana. Whether you like to glamp in tents or park a fifth wheel, they have plenty of spots many on the water to set up with water and power for each lot. The rest room/shower buildings ate ALWAYS clean and well maintained and the playgrounds are safe for your kids and grandkids. Located directly across from Brackenridge Recreation Complex, there is always something to do and trails to hike. Come for a weekend or a week - you'll be glad you did!
We stayed on the Brackenridge side Jan20-March 11th, in 2 different sites. This is a great park, quiet with natural beauty and wildlife, very well maintained and the staff of great. The only down side I can see was the extreme wind forever howling through the lake area and the general layout putting most sites in circles exposed to the constant wind great for summer but not in the winter . If you go in the winter, choose a site as far away from the water as you can get, or go to the Texana side. We started in lot 76 the map is not correct, this lot is almost perfectly broad side to the lake in 30 days , we had 4 calm days. One day the wind was so severe we couldn’t open our RV door. Plus this circle of sites is on a bit of a peninsula sticking out in the lake with no wind break. We moved back to a different site for the last 3 weeks and were much happier without the wind. By no means any fault of the park, but something to consider. Most lots have nice large trees. There is washer/dryer in shower buildings 1 and 3 . Building 1 has the better washer/dryer, building 3’s set needs maintenance but still a nice feature to have. Bring your own change. We felt safe and secure the entire time, 0 issues. We would go to this park again , but would consider the lot orientation carefully.
I loved this campground very clean and the staff. We saw all kinds of wildlife. The trails are great and would be easy for all ages. They were our favorite part besides spotting an and our dogs really had a great time and helped us spot critters along the trail. There’s trash cans and benches placed along the trail which is super nice. Note to staff:Entrance 3 is overgrown and the pathway needs shredding. You must walk through tall grass which makes it harder to avoid snakes. It’s doable but scary with your furry friends. Hoping the pathway is cleared for our next adventure at Lake Texana.
Lake Texana Park and Campground is one of the best places and cleanest places we have ever been camping on and the fishing is wonderful as well. They have the cleanest showers and restrooms . My children had so much fun. There are several playgrounds scattered across the park that the kids can run around and play in. We have visited the park many times and here recently began camping there, we have camped there like 4 times already and will continue to do so. This one of our favorite parks, lots of wildlife and its close to home!! The staff are wonderful and very helpful and nice.
The campground is awesome, lots of trails, a brand new nature center, big campsites and dedicated 24/7 patrolling security.Campground fees include all the amenities at Breckenridge across the street are included, like putt putt golf, disc golf, laundry machine. Bathrooms need some updating.
