Health, Kinesiology, Sport Management, and the Physical Education Activity Program
We are one of four departments in the College of Education & Human Development at Texas A&M University, and currently home to more than 2,400 undergraduate majors, 300 minors, 260 graduate students, 95 faculty members, 35 staff members and 85 graduate assistants. There are four divisions in the department, which include Health Education, Kinesiology, Sport Management and the Physical Education Activity Program (PEAP).
The mission of the Department of Health and Kinesiology is to contribute to the quality of life of the citizens of Texas and the nation through creation and dissemination of knowledge, training of educators and other professionals, and service to the community. Vital aspects of these efforts are to educate our students and the public in the science and benefits of health, human movement, sport, lifetime activities, and healthy lifestyles.
