Thai Orchid Orangeburg

Very good! Don’t judge the book by its cover. outside doesn’t look like much. But inside is very nice. Food! The Important thing!!! That was excellent. We had a nice variety of dishes. All were yum! A little slow, if you were in a rush. But worth the wait. Ice cold beer

I had a to go order from Thai Orchard while visiting Orangeburg, SC, for a family funeral. I initially called in my order and was told about 20 minutes for it to be ready. Arrived before the 20 minutes and wasn't impressed with the outer presence of the establishment. I was greeted by a young man who was kind, and let me know my order would be out shortly. Unfortunately, the shortly turned into a longer wait. I was told after my 20 minutes that they only had one cook, which was ok. However, I was the ONLY individual in the establishment waiting for an order. Place seemed a little disorganized with things out of place in a restaurant but I expressed patience. I've had Thai food from all over the world in my travels, and unfortunately, this didn't do well as my favorite. I paid $30 for small portions, and the food lacked in taste for me. Was a little disappointed because of the distance we drove to try this place after the reviews.

We moved to SC from Upstate NewYork. It's hard finding good restaurants. I love Thai food I thought I'd try Thai Orchid. I like it so much we go back everytime we are in Orangeburg & I order the same thing Coconut milk soup with Shrimp extra spicy & Shrimp Phat Thai extra spicy both are delicious! Nice accommodating people.Food: 5/5

I enjoyed this place of business! The food was EXCELLENT!! I enjoyed the atmosphere and the staff! One of the owners made sure we felt at home and guided us through the menu like and expert!! One thing I really was the craftsmanship with the table we ate on! BEAUTIFULLY!!Food: 5/5

I had the rice noodle soup with tofu, my date had green curry with chicken... I'll be getting that next time only with tofu!Food: 5/5

River or waiter was excellent! Food marvelous!!! Love the hand carved tables, chairs, and art work!!! Did so good we will plan a visit every time we are anywhere close. And we live 5 hours from here just traveling through!!!!Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: NoTakeout: Yes

Everything was fabulous! Delicious food that is well seasoned with authentic flavors. Beautiful decor and attentive service. What a gem to find!

This is a cute place to go and get a decent Asian cuisine. I had the Thai fried rice with beef and the spice Thai flavor. This is the spiciest option they have. It made me sweat but it was really flavorful. The egg rolls are big and packed with cabbage veggies and chicken. The dumplings are pretty good as well but I think regular soy sauce tastes better then the thick sauce they used. Still this is a really good place, the wait staff is kind and very helpful. The ambiance is relaxing as well. I really like the thing they do with the straw where they wrap it with the paper see photo below. Just little things like this make give it that extra bump in the experience.

I always pick up doordash orders from here but always forget to try it because unless you looking for it you would miss it but they let me try the chicken satay and spring rolls now I definitely have to go back the chicken was flavorful and the spring rolls tasted freshFood: 5/5

Sushi had too much cream cheese in it and wasn’t good. My husband loved the drunken noodles, i thought it was okay. They are very friendly though
