Desk keeper was friendly, spent 3 nights no new towels, the dock was closed looks like it's about to collapse. Thought it was a regular hotel but got the impression that people are living here long term. Great location close to everything if you don't mind an uncomfortable bed at a great price.Rooms: 2/5
I LOVED staying here, I could live here. The rooms are updated and cute, sea themed which matches its location. It has just about everything you need to feel right at home, including a full kitchen and what it doesn't have the inn keeper is happy to oblige. The rooms are pretty sound proof. There is washer and dryers on site at a fair price. Plenty of parking. There is a garden and a couple of picnic areas as well as a few types of grills. I especially loved the view being right out on the water. The beds and linens were great! Right next to everything in New London County including a nice piece of history at Fort Griswold just up the hill.
My husband and I were so happy with our visit. It was so relaxed. The staff were friendly, humble, down to earth folks!!! Wayne was a pleasure. He allowed us to stay beyond check out time which I thought was awesome. There's nothing worse than hotel staff pushing you out the door at check out time.Rooms: 5/5
This hotel is AMAZING!! Not badly price and its literally right on the water . Two grills outside to cook on. Rooms are nice and clean. Full size stove full size refrigerator. Cabinets with dishes cups pots and pans. Clean sheets and towels The owner is very respectful and goes out of he's way to help. Would definitely stay again!!
Stayed here last week for one night and the rooms were super clean! Right on the water with gorgeous sunset views off the pier. The owner was great, he was super friendly and accommodating. There is free laundry on site too, if you're on a longer trip and need to wash clothes! Would definitely stay here again.
Thames Marina Inn- hidden gem. Rooms were very clean, shabby chic. All amenities and it is right on the Thames river. Enjoy the boats and old part of town that dates back to 1700’s. What makes it the best is the host Wayne! Never had better service. Take his advice on where to eat!!! Never missed! Will be back.
We needed a hotel for a night that wasn't a ton of money, we picked here because reviews seemed decent. Not in the best area but it is cool that it's right on the river. I will say everything seemed as clean as it could be really in the room, despite the overall condition of the hotel being on the shabby side. It is a full kitchen which would have been great id we were staying longer, and there was even a full size coffee maker with filters. Liked having a fridge to put our waters in. My big complaint was the bed was SO uncomfortable - hard and sunken in the middle and creaking loudly every time you moved. I barely slept so that sucked, that's what a hotel is for so at the bare minimum the bed should be good. Sheets were clean but rough. Check in and out was easy enough. Not sure I'd stay again just mainly because of the bed.
Hi my name is dilly I stayed at this hotel and i got a good discount but then I went to sleep and the bed was so hard I rubbed my hair off my head on the pillow then I got up to take a shower and found the clerk in a speedo in the hot tub and when I joined him I had to use a soap bar with pub hairs on it but the view was greatHotel highlightsGreat view
At Thames inn and marina you get the kind of service you just don't get at a bigger hotel. An old school place to stay right on the river with a front row seat to all the activity on the Thames. Gives you a feel for what the area is like. Very accommodating of us and our little one, and best of all it was great to find a room with a kitchen for a reasonable price.
Great motel in a little bit of a commercial area. Right on the water and the manager, Wayne, was just fabulous. The room was clean and we both got a good night's sleep. It's bare bones but the location is excellent. Right off the highway and 15 minutes to Mystic. Next we have an overnight we will definatly stay here.
