Thatchers Barbeque and Grill Calhoun

The staff was super friendly and extremely helpful with suggestions. The prices were reasonable and the food was awesome We started off with potato skin appetizers, and we got full eating those. My GF had the Buffalo'd Shovel Fried Chicken, over homemade Nachos, they were very good. I had the Smoked Sliced Beef Brisket Plate, it was easily the best brisket I've had in Calhoun.

I was looking forward to trying this place since it had high reviews. Let's say I'm TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED! The greens taste and looking no seasoned canned greens, the ribs pulled pork amd definitely the brisket was DRY, DRY, DRY. The BBQ sauce is making the meat somewhat edible. The Mac n' cheese pasta is over cooked and so was the fried green tomatoes. What I thought would be my new go to for BBQ will be my first and last visit. I really hate I wasted a drive and my money.

My 1st time in Georgia and this is the first place our hosts took us to eat. I ordered a "junk yard" salad. I consider myself a Ranch connoisseur. This was legit. Oh oh and the fried pickles. More pickle than breading! Emma was such a sweetheart of a server. Big smile and is on it for anything and everything we needed. Thanks for the experience. That was fun.

The staff here was soo amazing and had real southern hospitality to some northerners who wanted BBQ! Everything was delicious- I highly recommend the fried green tomatoes I will say that we visited on Saturday night, which they said was their last day opened of the week so they were out of a few things ribs being the most important but they tried to accommodate and they food was excellent.

DO NOT EAT AT THIS PLACE!!! They are a rip off! Everything in this order was messed up! They overcharge for throwing whatever they have left in the kitchen in your plate but will charge you the menu price. The pictures below are supposed to be a thatcher club and a brisket sandwich. For the club sandwich, I got a hotdog bun with a fried green tomato and a piece of bacon. This sandwich ALONE is almost $10. You have to order sides separately. This place is a waste of time and money.

Great bbq. The pork, brisket, rib plate with 3 sides was fantastic, but boy oh boy the peach cobbler. I'd gladly take the diabetes to eat that a few times a week. Wish we lived in the area, but when we pass close we're stopping for great food.

Best barbecue I’ve had my entire life! It’s made with delicacy, tradition, and lots of flavor. Their menu offers a dish for everyone to enjoy from burgers to ribs to hot dogs salads shovels chips tater tots as the main dish/base and much more !
