I lived at Roxy on Ridge in Roxborough Philadelphia for 4 years. The place had a few apartment management companies come and go and Altman was the best. They kept the building really clean. They added some plants to the lobby, an Amazon locker, and an actual person at the front desk office for security. I loved having my senior 50 lb boxer/pit bull dog live there with me. They don’t breed discriminate! I found them to be super responsive and pleasant to deal with, especially Melanie. When we bought a house and informed her we were moving, she made the process a breeze and we got our security deposit right away.
After paying the balance in full due to a near eviction I was given a warrant of removal yesterday. It’s been weeks since I paid the rent in full and stonington court apartments WONT update the docketfile they won’t contact their attorney to update them on the case. We went to the office and have been kicked out. Twice. We have been locked out of the online portal so I can’t even pay my rent for September.. this is disgusting unprofessional at the highest level. I can’t get any answers from anyone to help with this case. I am extremely upset and dissatisfied with Altman management company for this. They do not care about residents or tenants. They just want all the money they can absorb. I called their Attorney no answer or call back. I called the borough of lindenwold code enforcement. Still no reply. And I have a notice saying the locks will be changed and to vacate the property by august 21st. I’m extremely upset I’m calling the cops after today because this is illegal
I have been a resident at Birchwood Hill Apartments for twenty-one years! Yes that's a long time of renting. But, I felt so at home here that I didn't even notice how much time had gone by. Mrs. Pat Dorrah was a wonderful Manager. Any issue I had, she took care of it...promptly! Now that she is gone, I am not getting the same. Where is maintenance? One major issue I needed done is STILL unresolved. No communication! Altman --what happened???! Okay, as of two weeks ago, the issue has been resolved!! Thank you Birchwood Hill and Altman! I added another star.
Your company is super unprofessional and never returns phone calls when it's regarding money. I have an unapplied credit that's been on my account for months that no one can answer any emails or calls about it being applied. But you will answer when it comes to an extension for 1 more month right away?! I'm literally telling everyone to not rent from your company.
I have sent 3 emails to the email address and I have not heard back from someone in Corp office. I do not want to speak to property management. Please have someone from owner group Corp office Extremely poor communication when trying to speak to property management or anyone above her. Maybe leaving this review will get my phone messages and email will be returned.
Extremely poor communication. Stonington court apartments is failing to provide information about why my lease has been auto renewed in January with no prior communication. I told them I am leaving, and have given my 60 days notice, but now they're saying I have to pay double the rent for early termination in addition to rent for the next 2 months. I have asked them to please show me where this is outlined in our lease, but I have heard nothing. My lease isn't up until March 1st. I really need someone from your company to provide more information. I even provided outline in the lease where this penalty should be waived.
My family has lived in spring garden Apts for 23 years. Since Altman bought and we have new management all I have had was harassment. I have never been late I painted my own apt during Covid Cheryl is evil. I got a letter to evacuate two days ago. No reason. I don't pay as much rent as they could get if I wasn't here. I am 68 years old I do not have three months rent to put out to go somewhere else. What is wrong with Altman Co. Doesn't the owner have a heart or is everything about money. I will be on the streets in three months, but not before I write the newspaper.
I am going through the process of trying to get back a deposit and I'm met with ignorance and conflicting information from the property management. I signed an attemdum with my lease. I received a lease renewal for 2023, raising the rent by $95. I responded immediately. I was told by the assistant manager that anything under $1,000 is not sent to collections. Now I'm being told to pay December's rent and $87, and oh yeah, we're keeping your deposit. I NO LONGER WANT TO SPEAK TO THE PROPERTY MANAGER OR THE ASSISTANT PROPERTY MANAGER. As I no longer live on the premises. I would like a call back from the corporate office explaining why there are so many different conflicting stories and why the interest from $770 is only $.12 after five years. As all other reviews here suggest, this is a company ran by con-artists. We lived in the Master St apt in Philly for a year. During this time they false advertised amenities on Zillow as part of the lease. Right before the summer they decided to cancel them on us because "they sold the building" The only offering they gave us was a pathetic apology letter with no rent reduction. Our bicycle were "donated" since they "forgot" to tell us they’re cleaning the bike room. Ashley Garber is an absolute irresponsible manager. Ask each and every one of her tenants and they will all say the same. She will never respond/bother helping you once you sign the lease. NO MATTER WHAT THEY ADVERTISE DONT TRUST THEM. 65 reviews/ barely a star and a half. Nothing else to add. 10/3/22 Reply to the Reply From the Owner below: "We are sorry to hear of your unfortunate experience. The independently-owned building that provided the amenities to our residents was sold. As we understood this could possibly occur out of our control, we included the provision in our leases that states these amenities may be removed during the course of the lease, so as to communicate transparently. We have offered other events, like food trucks, in an effort to supplement for the lost amenities and to express our apologies. We value our residents and hope they continue to enjoy the spacious, newly constructed units with stainless steel appliances, washers and dryers, granite countertops and a city-convenient location." You are not sorry for anything and your company made ZERO effort to fix anything. You completely ignored all of our requests and the pathetic food truck you offered had nothing to do with the amenities.Because a free hot dog from a food truck is worth a swimming pool access and gym membership. The provision stated that Altman might cancel some or all of the amenities. It was NEVER communicated to ANY of the tenants that the apartments are subjected to different rules than the building. It is 100% false advertising. Canceling one amenity due to some issues is one thing but taking away our access is a different thing. If you had any sense of morals, you would have explained to your tenants that the building is a separate entity and that they might revoke our access. Adding a mere, vague clause to your lease is not enough to simply cancel everything. Finally, your ", newly constructed units with stainless steel appliances" reeked of cigarettes smoke, and the washer was leaking all over the floor since day one. Funny how the owner responds to true reviews online but will never bother responding to dozens of phone calls. Dont believe me? just read the other 40 reviews its literally all the same. . Grow a pair and take responsibility. Absolute trash. Run away.
I have been emailing/calling the leasing manager at the Regatta in Fort Lauderdale for over a month in order to have an issue resolved. I have even stopped by in person with no solution provided to this day. Is there anyone that is able to assist? Thus far, my experience has been atrocious, however still open to making amends.
